Guest guest
The depo shot is not much different than bc pills. Still hormones daily. Not sure how that is going to be different.... I don't use an IUD but have read of the copper toxicity factor.... wish I had better advice or options for birth control...but there really aren't too many. > > i have just been diagnosed with factor 5 leiden and my dr does not want me on birth control pills or patch. > > he did say he would give the depo shots or place an IUD. > > i read alittle about the IUD and they use cooper, does anyone use these? > > Sharon > > > > >
Guest guest
Hello, Jan & Sharon - I have been following the Autism Mercury board as well as the Gardasil Board because I have been covering both issues on my radio show. When I saw your email about IUD's and birth control I had to respond. An IUD works by creating a " low-grade " infection in the uterus that keeps the egg from implanting. This may not be an option to consider because of weakened immune response from other toxins. Your immune system may not deal well with another response to foreign antibodies in your uterus. And you are right Depo and BCP's are not that different. They are synthetic hormones released into the bloodstream that prevent ovulation. Over time, the endocrine system may shut down its own production of hormones because of the abundance of synthetic hormones in the body. BTW - a " period " on BCP's is known as a " chemical bleed " and not a period. Certainly you do not want to be adding more chemicals to your body. I understand your frustration about the lack of information and the lack of effective and safe birth control. I strongly suggest charting your cycle and using a barrier method like condoms and a spermicide or a diaphragm - but knowing when you ovulate is crucial to all to using the above methods. I can help you with the charting. I hope that this is helpful. You can find more information on my blog at http://holyhormones.com - or I invite you to stay in touch with me by email or on this post and I will provide as much information to your questions as possible. The invitation is open to anyone else on this board too.
Guest guest
Very kind , a big thank you. I personally hadn't used any birth control for years and found charting a breeze. Of course my system pretty much runs like a clock so pretty easy. Getting pregnant was a breeze too. One month for child number #2 to get pregnant at 37 too. Guest guest
also i just read an artical that pulling out is only 2% less effective than condoms if used correctly each time... Guest guest
, thank you for the concern.I hope this helps the original poster who had the questions. The idea of " creating an infection in the uterus " can't be good. Thankfully, we have successfully been baby free for 7 years using a combination of charting and withdrawal/barrier. Hopefully, others can benefit from those non invasive methods also.
