Guest guest
Dear Irma, Just wanted to say that we have tried this therapy & found it to be very helpful to . We went for about a year & then stopped because the therapist moved & we were also doing private speech therapy, music therapy & swimming (we couldn't afford EVERYTHING!). I remember that it calmed & helped with her aggression (pinching & scratching) & with teeth grinding. There are people specifically trained in this therapy (you don't HAVE to be an OT or chiropractor as far as I know). We have a family here who's daughter is just DS & they swear by it. It has helped their daughter a lot. I don't think it's covered by health insurance plans here. I could be wrong, though. Just thought I'd share my experience with it. Take care, Love,
Guest guest
Hi , I'm always glad to hear other experiences and glad to see what has worked. Hmm, teeth-grinding? I was not aware of that. I'll add this to the list, as he still grinds his teeth. Ok, this is a friend willing to assit for free so that he may help others that will also benefit. He will even make time to get some education needed so that I would feel comfortable with the research information. I say the Lord has opened many doors of people that I've come to meet, just like y'all. I'm just happy that the medical professionals that I've encountered these years are willing to learn and do not ignore me as it seems these issues are increasing massively. Thank you so much for sharing this. HUGS! Irma,13,DS/ASD > Dear Irma, > Just wanted to say that we have tried this therapy & found it to be > very helpful to . Bernie--can you describe those that you have seen respond to cranial-sacral? My son is doing this now, and after the first session, he was very calm and relaxed and seemingly more receptive to understanding issues that had been troubling him. That faded within a few days, and 2 subsequent visits have not yielded any further improvements. **************Hot Deals at Dell on Popular Laptops perfect for Back to School (http://pr.atwola.com/promoclk/100126575x1223106546x1201717234/aol?redir=http:%2\ F%2Faltfarm.mediaplex.com%2Fad%2Fck%2F12309%2D81939%2D1629%2D8)
Guest guest
I'm familiar with several cases of autism in my area that have been helped by periodic Cranial-Sacral Therapy. Its important to have a practitioner with experience at working with such children. There are some issues that only C-S addresses.
