Guest guest
Susie, " I brush/floss and use a floride rinse. Can any of you recommend any thing..(I GO to the dentist regularly!) " It is very good you are taking care of the basics, please keep it up. I would look on for groups with dental problems to see if you can get hooked up there. Also, I would check out the many programs we use in this group (Dr. Schulze, Arise and Shine, Dr. ect.). I know Dr. Schulze has a special Tooth And Gum Formula. His number is: (800) 437-2362, Dr. Schulze, that is. I hope this helps. God bless, KJ
Guest guest
Dear Susie, Did you see an alternative dentist... that is, one that detects mercury. I just started to see one and am amazed to find out, how important it is to get rid of amalgam fillings, root canals, etc...Just in case, I got a second opinion, and was told the same thing. My " regular " dentist did not agree with anything I told him (reading about the effects of metals in the mouth in Dr. H. 's book)... So, I won't go to him, anymore... and I spent a fortune on my teeth for years... I always thought he was great... my teeth look wonderful, but my health isn;t and so, I better get rid of all this " wonderful " work he did... I hope that makes sense to you. Guest guest
I would go to a mercury free dentist. http://www.iaomt.org/patients/search.aspx TJ ________________________________ From: Helmbrecht <helmbrechtmelissa@...> Sent: Thursday, June 25, 2009 1:30:17 PM Subject: [ ] Dental Question I took my autistic 5 year old to the dentist, and he has 4 cavities. I told them no fluoride, no metal fillings, and no nitris oxide (sorry about the spelling on those). The dentist wants to do an IV to knock him out during the procedure. He also said that he has to put metal fillings on two of the teeth. He said that he has to put a sterling silver cap on them if I am not willing to do an amalgam. Can I do that and chelate? Why can't he do a resin filling? I asked him if he could just pull the teeth since they are baby teeth, and he said that he would have to put a metal spacer in so either way he'd have to use metal. What are my options? Thanks,
Guest guest
I went to the one in my area, and our double dental insurance only paid 50 on a crown. It was over 6 weeks ago and my tongue is still numb. Also the tooth hurts and the crown doesn't fit my bite. I don't want to go back to him. The one I went to for my son specializes in special needs kids and is covered by my insurance. Does DMSA or ALA pull silver into the body? Can a back filling be done with resin? Guest guest
You find a dentist that does no amalgam filings. No chelation with amalgam either. I'm happy to report both my boys were in for a cleaning and checkup. No cavities and I was worried about exposure. He said they haven't done any amalgam filings in that office in over 10 years. YEAH!!!!! We are going ahead with our chelation round this weekend. Tammy [ ] Dental Question I took my autistic 5 year old to the dentist, and he has 4 cavities. Guest guest
I would try another pediatric dentist to see if they have other options with resin/composite on such a large filling (which I assume is why he can't do a simple composite). I know he works with special needs kids, but if he is just going to knock him out anyway... what is so special about that? I know not all pediatric dentists are comfortable with our kids, though. Many dentists are not skilled at using composites. Amalgams and metals are much easier to work with and require less skill (dentists have told me that). You might want to ask how much experience they have with composite fillings. I have a filling in a molar that was replaced with a composite by an inexperienced dentist 7 years ago. By the time I got to my current dentist there was rot underneath the composite. I was able to avoid a crown but the filling was a large overlay or something like that. It is composite. No metal. I think it can be done, but I'm no dentist. Seek a second opinion if you have the resources. Guest guest
Seriously consider finding a different dentist, one who doesn't use amalgam at all. Guest guest
thanks , I was thinking on the same page. I know it's gonna need extracted and hate to see it go, cause it anchors my bridge. So will call dentist Monday and see what he can do.. I sure don't like it when the tooth blows up on me during a weekend,,,, no service around here..... linda From: maryanne.waspe1@... Sent: Friday, April 15, 2011 6:34 PM Joint Replacement Subject: dental question , we have been going over the need for antibiotics post joint replacements, and the answers vary, but for the most part all USA people and Australians do have to take an antibiotic cover, you can have dental work just make sure you have the cover your O/S can confirm this for you. I had a crown done only 6 weeks post a hip replacement I couldn't wait any longer as the nerve was exposed. I remember as I was still on crutches. I had an antibiotic cover and no problems. I am having some dental work done in May and that will be 6 months post a revision hip. So if you have an infection in the tooth, it might be a good idea to get that under control before he attempts to extract it. x -- dental question hi, I had knee replacement in January and things have been good and bad times. Now of all things I have a wisdom tooth going to need extracted soon. I was trying to remember if it said no extractions for over a year after surgery. Is this true? Wonder if I got antibiotics to calm the tooth down it might save me some dental bills !!!.... linda montana carvinmom
Guest guest
We are the same no dentist on a weekend, its a pain literally. If your dentist can't give you the antibiotic then get one from your GP, but you are way too early in the replacement time not to take it, I wouldn't risk it. -- dental question hi, I had knee replacement in January and things have been good and bad times. Guest guest
Hi , You should probably have the tooth pulled, but with antibiotics before as well as after. I would call the OS and ask first, though.
