Guest guest
Hi I'm embarking on a Zinc supplement regiment for myself. What's a safe daily dosage to take and any other things I'll need to supplement to ensure Zinc does not deplete it? I'm taking my supplementation for my eczema based on the following : http://www.healthy.net/scr/article.asp?Id=2866 I know if we take high dose MB12 (or even possibly cyanocobalamine), we'll need folic/folinic acid, otherwise it will cause an imbalance. Guest guest
, I think a safe daily dose for an adult would be between 15 and 25 mg. But, if you take more than your body needs, you'll know it because you'll become naseous. The reality is, the amt of zinc your body needs will vary depending on if you're depleted, if your body is using more (because you're catching cold), etc. So, experiment with small doses a couple of times a day. Guest guest
Hi ! The doses for Zinc should be your total weight PLUS 20 mg.... for example: my son weights 38 lbs....so I give 38mg PLUS 20mg = 58 mg.. now...start with your weight and then add the 20 mg. for better result spread them up during the day [2 -3 times a day] that will give your body a chance to absorb. I hope that help! > > Hi > > I'm embarking on a Zinc supplement regiment for myself. > > What's a safe daily dosage to take and any other things I'll > need to supplement to ensure Zinc does not deplete it? > > I'm taking my supplementation for my eczema based on > the following : > http://www.healthy.net/scr/article.asp?Id=2866 > > > I know if we take high dose MB12 (or even possibly cyanocobalamine), > we'll need folic/folinic acid, otherwise it will cause an imbalance. > > > > Thanks > > > >
Guest guest
I'm currently taking 2 capsules (each cap is 30mg) per day. Would that deplete some other nutrients that need to be replaced? Thanks
Guest guest
Up to 100mg/day from all sources (including your multi) is generally considered safe. >I'm currently taking 2 capsules (each cap is 30mg) per day. >Would that deplete some other nutrients that need to be replaced? > >Thanks > > >
Guest guest
Hi , I found that taking Zinc seems to impact on iron levels, but then women would be more susceptible to that than men. Zinc also interacts with Copper, so be aware of whether you need extra copper or not, I think most people with Mercury problems are a bit high on copper, but it can be an individual thing. From what I've read 15mg a day is the bare minimum amount from which most men would benefit, and men have a higher need for it than women do. If you've got symptoms that are clearing up from the extra supplementation you must be on the right track. It will reduce copper levels, altho many people need copper to be reduced. Dana
