Guest guest
You just have 1 small filling or is this the beginning of amalgam removal? First and foremost, make sure it is being removed by a dentist who uses safe protocol (IAOMT). You can take some vitamins in the weeks before and after removal. You do need to wait a few months after amalgam removal to start ALA, but you can use DMSA within 3-4 days if you have any. Vitamin C, B complex, zinc, magnesium, no copper. Probiotics and essential fatty acids are good, too. Address any issues you have with constipation because you'll want to be going regularly while chelating. I hope your migraines will go away. That is a very small amount of mercury in your mouth, but perhaps you've been exposed elsewhere, too. Pam > > I have one small filling on the side of a molar. I am going to have it > removed in 2010. Guest guest
I am hoping it is a small filling - I got it when I was young and do not remember much pain. (Trust me, I'd remember!) I do drink coke. I know I know! So there is mercury in the HFCS right? Should I do DMSA first? Does it help? :0) www.blog.warriormama.com special kids with special needs deserve a Warrior Mama! Guest guest
Still, it is one filling in your mouth. That is good! I can't say for sure that DMSA will help, but it will allow you to chelate sooner. There is often a 'honeymoon' period after removal where you feel great. Don't take that as a sign you don't need to chelate or take supplements. Trust me. Also, don't take things like chlorella or other products marketed as 'natural' chelators. Many people have problems with them and it is better to stick with what has been shown to bind/eliminate metals safely. Keep it simple, is my rule! Try a trial period of no Coke. I haven't had a soda in a decade so I know that is easy for me to say! Aside from any mercury in the HFCS (I don't know much about that), sugars and food colorings/additives can be problematic. Give it a shot. How many do you drink a day? Aside from migraines, what are your symptoms you want to address? Take care, Pam > > > > I have one small filling on the side of a molar. Guest guest
Why must you ask how many cokes I have in a day? Ugh the guilt - 32 oz at least. I was down to just that and tea, but I was sooo tired! And with 2 special needs kids, but I must stop with the excuses! My biggest issue is hormonal migraines. I have always had dark circles under my eyes from asthma. My asthma is ok now - but I have a constant stuffy nose even with zyrtec. My 2 main allergies are dust and mold. I guess I was hoping those allergies would go away too. Any other ideas? :0) www.blog.warriormama.com special kids with special needs deserve a Warrior Mama! Guest guest
Go slow getting off the coke? I had headaches, withdrawal do doubt. So give yourself time, weeks or even a couple months, and slowly go off the coke. I'd add ACE and milk thistle if not taking already. At my house, dark circles accompanied by headaches and asthma and stuffy nose meant yeast in my head and sinuses. Dana
