gluten and irrational fear?

Hi everyone-

Let me start by saying that I have a 6 year old son with autism and a 3 year

old daughter NT. I've tried the gluten free diet about 8 times. I'm talking

cleaned out the house, bought 400.00 worth of gfcf staples, went on the diet and

3 months later would quit. Yep, I did that about 8 times! Crazy I know. I would

quit because I got so discouraged that nothing was happening, he was still the

same! Not worse, but not better!

I would pray and pray and pray for answers on how to heal my son, God always

told me the same thing...Diet.  I would be praying and then out of nowhere I

would hear the word diet. But since I tried it 8 times and failed 8 times, not

to mention the fact it didn't work anyways, I would dismiss it.

Fast forward to now. My son is still autistic, albeit making gains through

chelation. My daughter on the other hand is NT and really smart, but has the

most irrational fear I have ever seen. When we are infront of people she has to

bury her head in our neck and won't look at them, I'm talking about people she's

seen her whole life, like grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.  What really

gets me is that we'll be waking through the mall and I will notice that she is

looking at something and I'll ask her if she wants me to buy it for her and she

falls to the ground whining and tantruming???  I just tonight told her " daddy's

coming home with pizza " and right to the floor she went. You can't tell or ask

her anything!!!! She wants nothing more than to be left alone, unless she comes

to you. I was wondering if gluten could be playing a role in her irrational

fear???? Any thoughts????

I'm sorry this is long!!!! I know you guys are busy!! Any thoughts are

appreciated!!

Do you think that preschool might help her overcome her fear???
