Guest guest
I'd say it's a great time since he hasn't been sick - that may give you a baseline - and then you can check if they elevate when OCD symptoms flare Eileen Quoting rhondastanish <PRSTANISH@...>: > I was wondering if it is to late to have my sons titers checked to > determine if his OCD is PANDAS. Guest guest
Hi Judy, How long ago did your son have strep? My daughter had symptoms for at least two months before her titers started increasing. Our doctor has told us that it isn't necessarily the number, but whether they are increasing. You could have his titers checked again. Even when her symptoms were at her worst, her titers were never extremely high. Take care, nne > > Hi All, > I just had my son's baseline titers checked and they were very low. Does this mean that there is no possiblity of him having PANDAS? Or do we have to wait for him to get strep again and see how high they go? > Thanks > Judy > > > >

Guest guest
, Yes, my doctor told me to get the baseline while he has no strep symptoms, than, if and when he gets strep, have his titers checked again Hugs Judy
Guest guest
Yes he did actually! At one point(can't remember the exact age) he had strep. I have a question, can I give him OLE with any other supps or do I need to avoid them with certain ones? I don't want it to lose its effectiveness. TXS Heleni From: Jan <mercurybabies2@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Pandas question Received: Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 11:41 PM Did he ever had a positive throat culture for strep at anytime past age 3?? As I understand it, that would be the factor as to whether or not he might have PANDAS. Upon which olive leaf extract can kill strep. I beleive Dana used OLE to clear her kids of strep infections. > > " Each time he complains that his throat hurts I get him tested for strep but the tests always come back negative. Is it possible that he can still have PANDAS? Our DAN also suspects he has it. With no concrete evidence that he does have Pandas we were told to give him the following : interfase plus biofilm enzymes, > > > lauricidin, yeast-aid, and uva ursi. Interfase (as well as lumbrokinase and nattokinase) are intended to break down the biofilms but then you need pathogen killers specific to the strain of strep your son has. Muscle testing may be helpful to determine the right one. But Lauricidin is anti-viral and Yeast-aid is for candida. They are not likely to be helpful. Among natural antimicrobials, Olive Leaf Extract is know to be active against strep. Others are berberine/oregon grape, barberry, and some Nutramedix tinctures like Cumanda. > > PJ > __________________________________________________________________ Looking for the perfect gift? Guest guest
With OLE you need to avoid taking at the same time as probiotics because it can kill the good bacteria. Others may be able to be more specific, but I think you need to separate the two by about two hours. > > > > " Each time he complains that his throat hurts I get him tested for strep but the tests always come back negative. Guest guest
Is there any value in getting my daughter tested for PANDAS? If she tests positive, what does the protocol look like? PANDAS is a strep syndrome. I eliminated strep here with OLE. Dana
