Guest guest
How often are you dosing? Fast metablilizers might need to dose more frequent than 3 hrs for ALA. ALA is also bi-directional - it can make mercury go into your brain if body burden is greater than brain. Doing more rounds w/ DMSA might help. For adults who have amalgam fillings replaced, minimum DMSA-only chelation is 3 months before adding in ALA. And make sure she's not exposed to " hidden " mercury. Make sure to eliminate all seafoods, high fructose corn syrup, check w/ your water dept or have your water tested, etc. On Mon, Apr 6, 2009 at 2:25 PM, srmfaubert <faubert@...> wrote: > Does this sound right? > My daughter is 5 1/2 35lbs. Guest guest
Sometimes you can see a taper off of improvements. Be sure that yeast is being treating if there is any because this will cause regressions. Since you did three rounds with the ala already, without issues, it seems she is fine tolerating it. so check yeast, make sure liver support is in place, supplements etc. But the progress is come and go with chelation. If you do not see anything good on the next round, post again. > > Does this sound right? > My daughter is 5 1/2 35lbs. Guest guest
It might be yeast, it might be that the ALA is too much for her, or both... You could try reducing the ALA dose or even just use DMSA only for a couple rounds, increase your yeast protocol, and see. My son improved on DMSA only, but after three months we added ALA, and within two months his progress were unbelievable! So ALA really made the difference here. We did not experience regression. > > Does this sound right? > My daughter is 5 1/2 35lbs. Guest guest
in our case we've done our first round and the yeast is all over the place, I can't find the right answer to control my son's yeast, but I will keep trying new things... but here is the question ever if I cant control it, should I keep chelating with ALA and wait for the yeast to get better due to chelation even if it takes weeks or even months? Guest guest
Hey Jan Thanx for your imput. Always good advice from you! We have great liver support and Im really happy with the supplements we are using. We have managed to beat the yeast beast with lots of Candex a bit of GSE. Lots of probiotics and young coconut keefer. I just hit the yeast heavy the day we begin rounds. I use to wait until we saw the behaviours that come with it but now I dont let it come to us I go looking for it. Kill it before it gets to be an issue. Its helped alot being proactive with yeast killing. We are at such a good place we have having healthy brown stools once or twice a day. Lots of work to get here and hope to hang around. Just have to get a handle on the ALA possible regression. I can confidently say she is tollerating a 4 day on 4 day off rounds. Im going to try one more ALA like you say and Ill post again. Hope it sunny where you are~! Simone [ ] Re: ALA Regression? Date: Monday, April 6, 2009, 7:05 PM Sometimes you can see a taper off of improvements. Guest guest
We just finished round 2 of ALA alone....and see yeast too as well. Not much regression per say...but we have runny stools and red cheeks. We have seen mild gains right off the bat! We are going to impliment yeast control....and if things don't get better, we are going to spend a few weeks of agressive yeast control before starting back up.
