Guest guest
I have 2 questions regarding doseage of Nystatin and Fluconazole. I'm looking for ballpark figures, to help in conversation with Dr. and to help develop a yeast protocal for my boy. I can't chelate him if this is not under control because his yeast/aggression skyrockets. 1. My son has Rx Nystatin which does not control his yeast/aggression. I've seen in books that some dose higher. He has 500,000 units 4x/day. This for a 200 lb child. Please tell me if your Dr. uses a higher dose, or what dose you have seen work for yeast/aggression. I'm looking for a ballpark, or a high end dose strategy. 2. My son has Rx Fluconazole 180mg. Doseage 1x/month. I've seen in books that some dose 1x/month, others 1x/day for 1 week, 2 weeks, or 4 weeks. Again, please tell me if your Dr. uses a higher dose, or what dose you have seen work for yeast/aggression. I understand this med can affect the liver and one must be careful. Also, I have some that expired 11/2008. I hate to throw it out and pay for new if this would still be effective. Any info on whether these would have zero effect/could be bad would be helpful. Thanks, Deb
