Guest guest
This is very, very long, but if you are like me, you will read it anyway out of desperation for answers! I have been very sick with the symptoms you all mention for the past 3 years. Mood swings and depression have negatively impacted both my personal and professional relationships, I have gained alot of weight, and I never feel " good " . There were days my abdomen was so bloated from constipation and toxic build up that I could not function at work, fit into my clothes, and had to stop eating because it felt like the food had no where to go. I am better now, but not cured. When my symptoms began gradually, I had no knowledge of natural remedies and had never heard of candida, but I read an excellent book on Cellulite which highlighted the importance of healthy bowel function. I then thought constipation was the root of my problems. I increased fiber and water in my diet but my symptoms just got worse, I saw many doctors and underwent several invasive tests including a 4 day study at Temple University, which is supposed to be one of the top 25 GI programs in the country. My results, of course, were " normal " and the top doctor, head of the department, who is supposed to be the " best " , told me there was nothing wrong with me, blew off my inquiries as to the possibility of " food allergies " , (which I suggested because the problem seemed to be tied to food), and told me to try drinking Lacy L'Beau tea. (It has Senna and is a potent laxative). This helped initially at least get things moving but soon lost its effect and it didn't help all the other symptoms. This was 2 years ago. Since that time I have researched everything I could find on the internet and in the book stores. It has been Candida the whole time, but there are very few of us who are aware. Main stream doctors will not be able to help you, because this was not in their text-books in their many years of schooling. As I was, they are uneducated on this subject and accept it. I did not. After hours upon hours of research, I believe I have found the answers, but it is not an easy road, I am still fighting this battle. My biggest problem has been following the anti-candida diet because of my cravings for sugars and starches, but I was successful for a short period of time after following a 4 part regimen (including the diet) for about 35 days. The regimen includes colon hydrotherapy, supplementation to kill off the candidia, drinking water, and following an anti candida diet. I FELT ABSOLUTELY GREAT! NO FOG, NO DEPRESSION, NO MOOD SWINGS, NO CONSTIPATION, NO FATIGUE, NO ACHES AND PAINS, NO IRRITABILITY, NO FOOD ALLERGIES, NO NUMBNESS OR TINGLING IN MY LIMBS, AND I LOST WEIGHT. Then I slipped off the diet, started to eat like normal people, and it came back. I have not been able to stick to the diet long enough to kill off all the candida, repair my intestinal walls, and cleanse my bloodstream and tissues. The longer you have untreated candida, the deeper it burrows and colonizes into your tissues. Colon Hydrotherapy This helps clear out Candida, as well as old, toxic, impacted fecal matter and mucus which sometimes develops with candida. You will feel better immediately- until you eat something to again inflames the candida. see read http://www.colonhealth.net/colon_hydrotherapy/chthrapy.htm for more details. Candimyacin: This supplement is awesome- the most potent for killing Candida that I have found so far. The main ingredient is oil of oregano, which has very strong anti-fungal properties. You can practically feel it working if you take it consistently while following an anti-candida diet. The best price I have found for Candimyacin is $17.00 for 90 softgels (which will last 10-15 days) and can be purchased on-line through " Vitanet " . See http://search.store./cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=vitanet & query=candimyacin & ..autodone=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myvitanet.com%2Fvitanet%2Fnsearch.html NOTE: Although the best price for Candimyacin is through Vitanet, you can get a lot of specific information along with other supporting supplement information at http://www.modernherbalist.com If you can afford it, I suggest also taking the supplements recommended along with the Candimyacin- especially the Formula SF722. If you order from this site, they will send you an awesome Diet to follow. Diet: THIS IS KEY! YOU MUST FOLLOW FOR ANYWHERE BETWEEN 40-90 DAYS! 1) NO Sugar - this includes artificial sweetners of any kind, honey, molasses, fructose, etc. 2) NO fermented foods - this includes Vineagar, soy uce, ketchup, etc. This is the hardest category to follow BUT IT IS IMPERATIVE. 3) NO breads, pasta, grains, yeast, or fermented foods of any kind. I even have trouble with brown rice. 4) NO Alcoholic beverages at all (remember it is fermented) Your primary foods should consist of: Fish, seafood, beef, lamb, poultry and eggs. (Preferably Organic), Vegetables (avoid the starchy ones like corn, potatoes, cooked onions, beet roots, yams, sweet potato, winter squash), Fish , ORGANIC meats, and eggs . If you must have fruit, it should be blueberries, raspberries, blackberries- all sugar containing fruits and sweets will set you back. You must drink your water- 8-10 glasses (160oz) per day. I find it easiest to do this by purchasing those big bottles such as Evian so it's easy to keep track. You will definitely feel worse before you feel better. I had a sore throat and general flu-like symptoms for a few days while the die-off occurred, But it is well-worth it. I believe this candida has me addicted to bread and sugar. If anyone has a suggestion as to how to make it through the 40-90 day diet controlling my sweet and bread cravings, I KNOW I CAN BEAT THIS THING ONCE AND FOR ALL!! Hope this helps someone........I feel your same pain and suffering. -Holly P.S. Is there anyone out there with Candida who has a symptom of absolutely no libido? Guest guest
Kate, I live in New Jersey, so Wyncote cannot be too far. Good luck, please let me know how it goes. Have you ever heard of Allan Magaziner, D.O.? His office is in New Jersey, I saw his associate Dr. Greenberg several months back, however, I didn't feel I was given a clear direction. They had me going through a whole bunch of allergy tests for foods, (which costs a fortune not being covered by insurance) and I paid a lot of money for supplements which would not help the problem and office visits. The Candida was being treated as another symptom- it is not a symptom, it is the problem. I know this because when the Candida is under control, the food allergies dissappear along with all my other ailments. Maybe this doctor you found will have more experience and success in treating others. I look forward to hearing how things go. -Holly
Guest guest
Kate, You really make some really good points, I hadn't thought about the possibility of some people being able to tolerate certain things- depending on how you got it. Also, I haven't learned much about the hormonal-influence angle. I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat to hear what he has to say!
Guest guest
I have severe symptoms too and thanks so much for your story!!!! The diet you sent---I'm on a mission to try it. However, I can stay away from sugar but eating just vegetables and meat I'm constantly hungry---what do you snack on? Yes I didn't have a sex drive until I was put on a hormone replacement therapy but I'm afraid of that now. I'm going to see a specialist on Saturday and I hope he can help me detox. If not I will follow your detox instructions. thanks so much for your help. I will repay when I hear back from the doctor. (I included parasite because it is the full moon) She is itching like crazy, rashy, squirmy, wheezing, runny nose, rubbing eyes, rubbing forehead. 2. What helps with this? 3.
