Guest guest
My daughter has serious yeast issues. I am ready to begin chelation, but know that I should have a yeast protocol in place. Unfortunately, yeast is a daily problem here. On a good day, yeast makes her giggly, spacey, foggy, unfocused. On a day when yeast flares up, she is angry--often to the point of violent behavior. She hits her head, screams, kicks, throws things, and hits others. She has kicked holes in the walls and in our kitchen cabinets. She is on the SCD minus dairy and fruit. With very, very close monitoring of her diet, we can keep to the giggly, spacey, foggy, unfocused form of yeast. Infractions cause anger/violence. Probiotics (various types tried) cause yeast to flare up and anger/violence follow. Biotin and oil of oregano have done the same. I started with low doses and did not combine them. Nystatin did not help. Seems that anything I've tried causes the yeast to flare up (begin to die off), but does not eliminate it. Her doctor has prescribed diflucan, but haven't tried it yet as I'm concerned that yeast will flare up again. We walk a very fine line between annoying yeast behaviors and violent yeast behaviors. I'm afraid that if we begin chelation and yeast causes her to become violent, that we won't be able to continue. If your child has suffered yeast issues like this, what did you do? I can't seem to control the die-off enough to get her to a better place. I don't want to put off chelation forever, as I think that is ultimately the way that we'll get rid of the yeast. Advice? Thanks! Judy
