Guest guest
Hi all, Took my non-verbal (PDD-NOS) 3 yr old last month for a regular EEG and results showed no seizures. His neurologist recommended a 24 hour EEG to be performed but I do not want to put my child through that horrific episode again. Now the neurologist is pushing for an MRI and we have scheduled for this in a couple of weeks. Can anyone share with me their experiences and if any good/bad came of it? Also, did your child have an IV or a mask to put your child out? I understand that this is one of the baseline tests, but I really hate putting my child out. He had tubes put in his ears at 18 months and when he came out of surgery, it was not a pretty picture. Lastly, hindsight, was the MRI worth doing? I appreciate anything you can share with me. Thanks,
