Guest guest
Hey Dick, was wondering what ratio your wife used with the DMSO and CS? I know my great toe nails aren't even attached to the nail bed except for the first 1/8-1/4 " it takes some careful doing (doens't look so pretty) but I can remove much of it. -- In Love, Light and Honor.............. Guest guest
I mix DMSO with peroxide 50/50, and also with CS and iodine. All in different bottles. I don't really think the iodine is necessary to mix, because it absorbs naturally if you need it. If not the stain just sits there until it wears or washes off. As you probably know the DMSO just takes the other items through the skin and into the system faster. Re: Toenail fungus Hey Dick, was wondering what ratio your wife used with the DMSO and CS? Guest guest
I think that after the nails were removed would have been a good time to apply the CS. Adding DMSO would send it deeper, I believe. Dick Re: Toenail fungus I've never tried it but I have wondered if ..........applying CS w/dmso would be effective against toe nail fungus. I went to the extent of having my two great toe nails removed completely w' the nail bed scraped. Now that was painful! Guest guest
How did you discover this? Dick Toenail fungus Put a small amount of fresh urine on it in the morning and let it dry. Knocked my husband's out in 4 days. You are right, keeping the foot dry and aired is important, as well. Nikki takes forever, daily use or twice daily. not good idea. use the stuff at the store, clotrimatron, or whatever the heck it's called apply and use with electricity might be good...electricity does work it's just painfully slow and you'll get sick and tired of it. The fungus can grow back easily. using the cream and also a wrist electrifier see photos, makes some sense as it's in the blood as well as under your nails. And wash feet, wear shoes that can keep toe area dry. Pain in the butt, I'm almost rid of it, but the cream was my magic plus better hygeine and the use on wrist. Guest guest
that's a great idea. but you still have to attack the fungus in the rest of the body. failure to do that is why it comes back after the podiatrist puts people through hell removing nails and then applying poisonous anti-fungals topically. cs in something watery dries out quick, but in something oily it's around longer to soak in. try a combo of ingesting a lot of CS regularly and applying it topically in something oily...the tea tree oil with no CS is working for me fine, but it would probably be great to add CS to it. i rub it in all over the nail & under the edge and soak the pad on a band-aid with it. if using watery CS/DMSO then maybe make a reservoir with some extra gauze pad and tape it up so it won't move or dry out. DMSO carries stuff into the body real well, & it will carry things you might not want inside too, so there's something to be careful with...laundry product residue, fabric dyes, whatever. i just bought some concentrated tetrasilver tetroxide (Ag4O4) which is the active ingredient in Tetrasil ointment (highly effective stuff for many skin problems and more). i bet Tetrasil would kill it real dead quick, & is of a form that can be smeared on thick & covered up. the silver-tet is a more badass form of silver with an oxygen punch that's a proven safe & effective bug-killer for human contact all over the body...like CS is claimed to be but unproven. it's used as a chlorine alternative for hot-tubs, spas, pools. there's been some reports of IV injection curing HIV with one shot, no sides, zap - you're done next pleeze. other studies haven't worked out but the dosage/applications were different & experimental. there's stuff on the web about it being a fraud & ripoff, but of course that's gonna happen too. i know a guy who dilutes it to 10ppm solution and ingests for hep-C. he's already clear a couple years from conventional drug tx, but intends to stay that way and kill every last hiding possibly dormant chunk of dragon. it's easier to dilute into a couple gallons at a time than brewing CS over & over. the silver-tet ingested in scary high experimental dosage combined with the microcurrent used on the blood & liver area along with a whole slew of herbs/supplements/cleansing/lifestyle changes for a year or so is my plan to cure hep-C for myself. maybe a couple years if it's trouble free & get good results. there's time while waiting for big med to come up with something better. meanwhile, at this time, the toenails a pretty again. the last ugly one has turned completely white everywhere the tea tree oil has soaked in from the end, so there's a thin dividing line of discoloration where it hasn't quite reached the new growth yet. anti-fungal drugs both OTC & Rx are too hard on the body, esp for one concerned with liver protection or a compromised immune system. cheers, bobL myspace: http://www.myspace.com/bob021147 ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/bobLs-fine-flotsam homepage: http://www.toad.net/~blarson/ > Re: Toenail fungus > > > I've never tried it but I have wondered if ..........applying CS > w/dmso would be effective against toe nail fungus. Guest guest
hi dr. alex, so what do you think of this idea: i'm speculating that the fungus likes dark, damp, not well ventilated, but still needs air. the effect of the vicks & tea tree oil both might have in large part to do with smothering it? the rest being a chemical attack. my results with the ingested CS getting rid of it on all the rest of the toes except the end of the worst big one would likely indicate the tissue beds under the nails, maybe the composition of the new growth nails themselves must have silver in them that is incompatible with the fungus, and probably that the fungus is spread through the body & must be eliminated completely to prevent it from coming back. once gone, keeping the feet clean, ventilated, dry is important to preventing re-invasion. please critique!?!?!? cheers, bobL myspace: http://www.myspace.com/bob021147 ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/bobLs-fine-flotsam homepage: http://www.toad.net/~blarson/ > Re: Toenail fungus > > > To ALL people suffering toe nail fungus... > I was really disappointed with my " treatments " for this,,, I wasn't > able to use the Clotrimazol, Lamisyl or any agresive " medicine " for > this problem. You can see them stuck to the cell wall - looks like a white spot with an opaque center & gradually fading to no image about 1/2 way to the cell edge. Guest guest
Dear Bob, I tried: Nizoral, (short time due to the risk of secundary rections) Colloidal Silver 3200 ppm (I got a very nice Argyria due to the deposit of silver at the base of the nails (Ungueal zone) used tea tree oil, removal by myself (I performed this in my own nails) of the nail, and THE FUNGUS CAME AGAIN! One day I was thinking " Must be another way to treat this, since almost all the treatments are not working) Made a search at the Net and found several ways of non proven ways to treat those toenails... I opted for: Use of Listerine plus vinegar 50/50 as a soak after the shower, let it dry and then used the Vicks on the sorrounding tissue and on the nail, enough quantity to keep on this premises after putting my socks. Before going to bed same treatment... AND AFTER just one week I saw the nail to start to grow with a normal color. I took a picture every month and those are for your view, just ask. I think that must be used the vinegar, in order to change the Ph to acid, and the fungus will not thrive easily. Definitelly the clean and dry part are the way to avoid the recurse of this. Using Desenex talc in the shoes is another preventive way. I use and do all of this and is the first time I have a decent toenail. Guest guest
None of the above, use simply an antifungal pill as I did " Lamisil " but there is a trick to it. as long as you are taking the pill the fungus in your body or under the nails in this case will die, and the new nail that grows is fungus free. To get rid of the fungus completely and make sure it doesn't come back you have to take the pill until a new nail is completely re-grown fungus free. The good part is that you can just cycle the pill 3 months on and 3 months off since its effects last long and fungus free nail will grow for few months after ward. But anti fungals like most medications can be bad for your liver os you need blood tests, because you are HIV+ you are already getting them so no big deal. Another side effect of the pill is that the healthy nails in your hands will become really nice and pink like a little kid, because any trace of fungus will be rid from them as well. > From: sforsorosso <sforsorosso@...> > Subject: Toenail fungus > > Date: Monday, May 18, 2009, 12:20 PM > Hey guys, > > There's so much great info on this list, I'm very > appreciative to be a part of it. > > So here's my question, what's the best treatment for > toenail fungus? I've heard everything from laser to > vinegar, including Vick's and a few other unusual > treatments. I know that there are systemic meds that > can be taken, but they are hard on the liver and with all > the other meds I'm taking I don't want to push my > liver. I've seen a product online called " Fungal Free > Nails " that claims to be the best, but that could all be > marketing hype. I'm curious what list members > recommend and/or have had good success with. > > Thanks! > > Ron > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Welcome to our group! > > If you received this email from someone who forwarded it to > you and would like to join this group, send a blank email to > -subscribe > and you will get an email with instructions to follow. > > You can chose to receive single emails or a daily digest > (collection of emails). Guest guest
I have been using the generic for Penlac (Ciclopirox Topical Solution Nail Lacquer) with good results. It does take a long time to see results, but it is the first thing I've found that puts a dent in the fungus which I've had since I was about 11 years old. And since it is the generic, your copay would be lower probably than the name brand. I tried Lamisil years ago and all it seemed to do is make me constipated :-( And I've tried many of the over-the-counter remedies and they were just a waste of money. Guest guest
Other than prescription meds, which are pricey to say the least and highly toxic on the body's organs, most of the TV ads for nail fungal treatments are just snake-oil disguised as " cures. " Depending on the extent of the infection of the nail bed (or quick of the nail), some topical oils/ointments/creams are basically futile. With toenail fungal infections a " cure " may involve much more than just a course of treatment. They involve changing shoes daily and not wear the same shoe for a while. Dry out the shoe and spray anti-fungals (like Tinactin or similar products) after each use. Reinfection is only a step away. Open-toe sandals are ideal if you can wear them daily but spray them also and do not wear the same sandal two days in a row. I have used Tea Tree oil to keep my infection in place. It takes 2-3 applications daily for a couple of years. Tea tree oil is a little caustic on the skin (it may have your toe looking dry and flaky). It is not for every case but it is not taxing on the liver as the pulse-dose therapy (like Sporanox) or pills such as Diflucan. Additionally, they run about in the hundreds or thousands of dollars per course of treatment. If you choose to try Tea Tree oil, go to your local WalMart. They sell a version on the food supplements shelves which runs you about $7 for a two ounce bottle and it will last you a year or two. Get a little nail-polish or eyeliner brush also at WalMart and brush around the oil around the nail where the skin meets the nail on the four sides that way the oil will seep under the nail bed little by little. Expect a " normal " looking nail at 12-18 months. They take forever. Even with a prescription it would take this long... Don't go wasting your $$$ in concoctions that promise you to become the latest foot model celebrity overnight. Remember, one infected toe can infect the rest (blame the shoes again, remember?). Dead nails can become thickened and painful to walk so nip them in the bud

I'm curious what list members recommend and/or have had good success with. > > Thanks! > > Ron >
Guest guest
Topical solutions and liquids and creams do not work, because the fungus is under the nail, solutions and creams do not penetrate the nail, the solution is to kill the fungus under the nail especially at the base of the nail, so that as the new nail grows it is fungus free. That is why pills are effective they work from the inside out.It also helps to keep the feet dry and clean, fungus grow in humidityso the drier the better, but not any one can wear sandals especiallyif one has lypo, and shoes can be treated old fashion way with anti fungal powderor with a shoe sterilizer. Most podiatrist have them or can be ordered here, I use mine to preventplantar warts from coming back.http://www.sterishoe.com/--- On Mon, 5/18/09, Flipper 501501 <flipper501501@...> wrote:From: Flipper 501501 <flipper501501@...>Subject: Re: Toenail fungus Date: Monday, May 18, 2009, 4:51 PM I have been using the generic for Penlac (Ciclopirox Topical Solution Nail Lacquer) with good results. From: sforsorosso <sforsorosso@...>Subject: Toenail fungus Date: Monday, May 18, 2009, 12:20 PM Hey guys, There's so much great info on this list, I'm very appreciative to be a part of it. So here's my question, what's the best treatment for toenail fungus? I've heard everything from laser to vinegar, including Vick's and a few other unusual treatments. Guest guest
He meant canker sores, which are lesions inside the mouth, tongue, inside of the lips, or the inside of the cheeks. They are like pimples... They hurt a little or a lot depending on what you are eating, but a bearable pain.No one knows the cause or cure, but studies suggest several underlying factors. They go away in a week or two.Read more here:http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/canker-sore/DS00354Google for images: "Canker sores" and you'll see the pimple-like lesions. Just pour some into a cloth, saturate the area and allow it to air dry. I struggled with acute cancer sores of the throat and mouth for years until my doc told me to gargle with HP. It was the worst pain I have ever had to endure. Since then, not single outbreak. I'm going to try it out for the fungus. I'll let everyone know if it works. > > Hey guys, > > There's so much great info on this list, I'm very appreciative to be a part of it. > > So here's my question, what's the best treatment for toenail fungus? Guest guest
My 4yold (ASD) has a bad fungus on 2 toes.. Finally got results back from the lab today (sent in January), yes it is a fungus. So my ped is now willing to treat.. (wonder why they hand out anti-depressants like candy but not anti-fungals.. anyways I digress). Options * itraconazole (Sporonox), * fluconazole (Diflucan), * griseofulvin (Fulvicin), and * terfinabine (Lamisil) I want to avoid diflucan because of the fluoride. It can cause mottled teeth, etc. Which is the best safest choice (I guess nilstat isn't strong enough?) Thanks! Teraza
Guest guest
I had toe nail fungus in the past and used sporonox - had to have regular labs to monitor liver function. If I ever got it again, I would at least give grapefruit seed extract (GSE) the old college try. You might want to read up on that and start with that rather than the more invasive meds. Guest guest
and I'm sure you know, this is also a big red flag for yeast. Do you have a good yeast protocol in place also?
