Hi

Just wanted to know whether anyone knows if Losec (Omeprazole) used to treat

GERD in my 6 year old daughter would reduce the absorption of DMSA and ALA.

Obviously Losec would reduce the stomach acid quite significantly. While she

was on the Losec she could tolerate 20mg of DMSA and 20mg of ALA every 3 hours

(no problem for about 6 rounds). I stopped the Losec about 2 weeks ago, as

being on it for long periods of time is not good for the stomach. I am trying

to treat the reflux with digestive enzymes, alkalsing base powder and

acidophillis. The problem is that when I continued with the detox protocol over

this last weekend, she just didn't do well on the 20mg dosages. Is it because

the DMSA and ALA is being better absorbed now that the stomach acid is back to

normal? Should I reduce the dosages of DMSA and ALA? She weighs 18kg.

Also does anyone know whether DMSA and/or ALA will remove mercury from spinal

motor neurons?
