could this be swimmer's ear? You might try; elevating his head with a few

pillows, have him lie with the hurt ear up, or rotate if it's both, place a very

warm washcloth on that ear, some put the tiniest bit of warm olive oil on a

cotton ball and place it just inside the ear canal. I would give aleve or motrin

( I like dye free) no tylenol of course, Wally's ear oil at Whole Foods is

supposed to be very good. I hope he feels better. I think it will heal in 2-3

days on it's own and then if it doesn't you know you have to go with an

anti-biotic. Alison M

I've got Mullein Garlic Ear Oil that I picked up from my local health store a

couple years ago. I put it in his ears and he went ballistic. Said they really

hurt, burn, he didn't like them at all. We just spent a couple days at the

water park, he's the only one complaining about ears. Anyway...could the drops

have gone bad and hence the pain? Of course a Sunday night. Any ideas is

Walgreens carry this kind of stuff? My other guy always loved these drops but

it's been maybe a year since I've used them.

So I'll start up the biocidin, olive leaf extract and more biotin for yeast. Do

you think it might be ok to give him an Alieve for pain, inflammation?

Appreciate any feed back ASAP if you're out there!

Thanks

Tammy

PS He had chronic ear infections as a baby but hasn't had a year infection for

a couple years. Would like to avoid the antibiotics. This would be our first!

Have you tried propolis ?

In my home this is the only thing I use for ear infections. you can buy it

in a solution of 1% alcohol and it does not hurt or burn. just add 5 to 10

drops as often as needed.

We don't do well with NSAIDS here - so no Aleve.

Herbs have a shelf life and they may have gone bad.

These drops should not hurt, at least we have never experienced that.

I doubt Walgreens has it, but you can make your own if you have garlic and olive

oil in the house. You just boil the whole garlic clove (remove the husk) and put

all the cloves in a small saucepan and pour in enough olive oil to cover the

cloves. Boil for a while, the garlic will get all mushy. Then strain out the

garlic and the oil is ready. Put it in a glass container with a lid. Anytime you

want to use it take out some on a teaspoon and warm it slightly over a match,

(test to make sure it's not too hot) and apply a few drops to the ear. Then put

cotton in the ear and leave the oil in over night.

I used OLE for bacterial ear infections, and biotin and GSE for yeast ear

infections. Most of them here were yeast.

Arianne - I saw propolis on line but not at our health store. Picked up Mullein

garlic again today. He's doing much better today.

Thanks guys!
