what kind of test does show yeast issue? Nystatin?

hi dear friends;

my son is using Nystatin since april 2009. our DAN doctor prescribed it somehow.

but i dont know what kind of test showed that he has yeast issue. i can not tell

does he have or not. and it has been long time that he is using this medicine.

how could i know does he still need or can we stop it? which testing should we

do? did somebody use this medicine? how long?
