Guest guest
sounds like he may be lacking in b-vitamins, digestive enzymes. My son had lots of gas too because of yeast. Actually because of last week he has been on a very simple diet more so than usual because i DIDN'T want it to happen again. Thanks **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. Guest guest
, Did the hospital folks check for an impaction? - essentially a big, hard plug of stool that does not move on its own. Liquid stool will pass around it many times. > > sounds like he may be lacking in b-vitamins, digestive enzymes. My son had > lots of gas too because of yeast. Try digestive enzymes and probiotics or biotin. See if that helps. Dana
Guest guest
Hi , This sounds agonizing! My son had something similar happen once, though it was less severe than what you are describing. I would suspect yeast overgrowth and give him an enzyme like zycarb before all meals. This is great for reducing bloating and contains no fenol as well. I would reduce his carb intake as much as possible temporarily since these are usually responsible for gas. I really hope he feels better, poor thing! - > > > > My son never had gas as a baby. Guest guest
Probiotics may really help this situation. My son has only had gas like that onc, but he does get a very swollen belly and very gassy. I give him good probiotics at least 2 hours away from food at night and in the morning and it reduces his symptoms dramatically. > > > > > > My son never had gas as a baby. Guest guest
Eliminating carrageenan ( & similar thickeners) gave us the best results for painful gas...this is crucial for me personally. While not quite so crucial for my children, it gave them huge gains in their comfort levels, especially my migraine girl. apologies - no info close to hand & hopping off cyberland soonly...a search on ibd, crohn's, and carrageenan should get you to something helpful... wishing you the best, elizabeth > > My son never had gas as a baby. Guest guest
I second this with Maggie. You can't leave this board. Your experience is too valuable to parents who want to recover their kids. Guest guest
Hi, . Too much probiotics can cause gas. I think when yeast cells die it can cause gas too. So try cutting back on probiotics and try a gentler antifungal. Candex didn't have any side effects for my 4yo.
