A course of Amphotericin B worked really well for us to get rid of the yeast.

Hey guys,

We have been battling yeast for so long and nothing seems to help.

We do Candex everyday. We have tried the following

GSE, Enhansa, biotin, Oil of Oregano, OLE, Nystatin, Diflucan but never once we

were able to contain it.

Any idea what can help?

Thanks,

Maya

===>Reducing sulfur foods, continued chelation. Maybe not what you want to

hear, but the only way to reduce is to move through it. You might try caprylic

acid and there is a yeast file, written by Andy, that contains a lot more ideas

that have been useful.

Just a note, OLE is an antiviral/antibacterial that does in fact stir up a lot

of yeast and not control it.

We have used Candidase for yeast control as well, in our experience much more

effective than Candex.

Chelation and antivirals stir up a lot of yeast. The yeast control measures

often require a strict yeast free diet as well to effectively control yeast-

which we follow, very low sugar, very few fruits, no yeast, no mushrooms etc,

sometimes elimination of sulfur foods that feed yeast. And persevering with

chelation has led to yeast being much more controllable as well. In our

experience, the more rounds you have, the less of an issue yeast becomes.

Have you observed a yeast free diet? Some report that the SCD diet helps as

well, although we have no experience with this diet.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

We are trying Coconut water kefir, it is natural source of probiotics. We buy

young coconut in asian market and got kefir grain from my husband colleague. I

make it everyday for my son. feed him every time I can remember it. It is really

good.

here is how to make it

they both works fine. but the second one is cheaper since we do need to buy the

starter.

I can just echo these comments - for our guy OLE was too much (you must have

seen my recent posts). If it wasn't for Pam and Dana, don't know what we would

have done :o) At this point for us - we have got to get some control over yeast

before we even dream of antiviral/ antibacterials...

Hi Maya,

Chelation has been our best yeast therapy, bar none.

We observed a massive yeast detox with my 6 yo boy after DMPS chelation every 8

hours for 2 days " on " and multiple days " off " . I believe the DMPS clawed

through a thick biofilm that did not budge with 2 years of anti-fungal therapy.

The yeast seeds covered the poop like a sesame seed bun, but also throughout.

This continued for days ever after stopping the anti-fungals.

Do you think DMPS had a better effect on yeast than DMSA? I know that

chelation will ultimately be the thing that gets rid of my son't yeast, but

in the meantime it never seems to go away, no matter how much we " up the

protocol. " Some days it seems manageable, but other days.................

I speculate that the DMPS smashed through the biofilm because of the massive

quantity of seeds observed in the poop after chelation. The DMSA+ALA had

positive effects (a few seeds were observed). On a scale of 1-10, DMSA+ALA was

a 2 and DMPS a 10.

Did it happen in the first round itself or did it take a number of rounds for

DMPS to smash the biofilm ?

What do these 'seeds' in the poop look like?

I often see abundant tiny black pepper like specks in ds's stool when it's not

formed and am wondering if this is the same thing.

Donna.

We stopped getting them about 10 days after the last DMPS / 8 hours for 2 days

round. If I see them again, as we just did 2.5 days of DMPS. I'll get a photo

and put it on autismpedia.org

We saw a lot of black flecks in the poop the first week or week and a half of

using valtrex. About 30 days into the Valtrex, we did hard chamber hyperbarics

(100% O2 at 1.75 ATA - higher pressure). There were black flecks for 3 weeks.

Evidently, that is from a dark biofilm that lines the GI tract.

These seeds are light colored - they look like pine nuts but much smaller.

Other than the seeds, there is no undigested food (a feat accomplished after 1.5

years of biomed), and the poop is well-formed and consistenly colored (medium to

dark brown).

  • 1 month later...

I have a publishe paper showing that wild oregano oil is more effective

than Amphotericin B.
