I read Dr. Mercola's article today as well as the responses. I have

been searching for something to help my dog. The moderators kindly let

me join this group for her. Thanks!

She is a five year old pit bull/Boston or Frenchie cross. She has

lupus. I am also in an immune dog group but this girls problems are

very unique and no one can help her. The neurologist feels it is her

immune system attacking her CNS. So she has symptoms that include

nystagmus, poor balance, (former) mini-seizures, vision distortion,

rear limb weakness, sensitivity to sound and strangers.

The Neuro says it taks about two years before the dog will need to be

put down. They offer no help except cyclosporin and prednisone. She

can't have them now because they caused pancreatitis. Her only

treatment now is methycobalamin, which seems to be slowing the

progression.

Also, I would like to read about people who are helped with Crones

disease as my 15 yr. old nephew has this. He originally went through

all the medical testing and was put on drugs. My sister then took him

off all the drugs and consulted for months with a nutritionist who says

she can pretty much cure it with diet. He does very good now and is

drug free. But yesterday had a flare up because of eating at a Chinese

place. He is learning what he can and cannot eat the hard way

sometimes.

Thanks again for letting me join for my DOG! If anyone else has an

animal on LDN I would like to hear your stories.

Gail.
