Well what we learned about bottled water would blow your mind. A lot of them

do not have anything, not a single gram of minerals in them, unless they are

mineral water. And that could be the reason why we have problems. Spring

water or bottled water is not alwways as good as the water you can get from

your faucet. Have recently trued to go back to sink water but have used a

folter. Were hoping to see an improvement, because Dr says it has minerals in

it, but one should filter out the vural contaminants. Clorine does not always

get things like that c****siprinian (not sure of the spelling. But bottled

water is lots of times, just filtered water. And there are spring waters that

have no minerals at all, because they are too filtered. And water being as

it is--a surviving need--we need those minerals we are not getting--so am

very confused. But have learned that if you put lemon in water, it can kill a

lot of germs in water. Good luck.

Dear and all,

I also found your hypothesis re chlorine very intruiging. We had a reverse

osmosis filter installed when we bought this house (10 years ago), and I've

had almost no tap water since. When I began communicating w/you due to my

bout of hyperT (which has been cured over 2 years now), I was struck by two

facts: that mostly women develop hyper/hypoT, and that the men who get this

illness, like yourself, seem to have been exercising, eating healthy (e.g.,

no meat, etc.), which probably goes along w/drinking filtered water. I

wonder how many of the women also eschewed tap water--if a lot of us did,

then maybe this is something to look into. One thing that doesn't quite fit

this theory, however: prior to my recovery, and ever since, I have continued

to drink the same filtered water. Maybe I was doing a lot of things that

contributed to hyperT, w/the water being one of them, and have reversed

enough of those things that the water no longer " tips the balance. " In other

words, maybe lots of factors, imbalances, etc., contribute to hyper/hypoT,

and a certain amount of rebalancing is enough to induce wellness.

I was diagnosed with HyperT after drinking bottled water for about a year and

a half. I worry about the fact that it's stored in plastic bottles which

have estrogens...wonder whether that has affected my hormones and endocrine

system in some way.
