Guest guest
Dana, This is interesting about riboflavin. My daughter has some OCD issues and althought they drive us nuts, I have the sense they are not nearly as bad as they could be. Although my daughter doesn't do well on most Bs, if she goes without riboflavin for even 2 days she gets a horrible red line around her lip. I only give her 25 mgs a day. Do you know how much you were giving? We also are upping my daughter's inositol. We recently put her on flagyl and diflucan, in part to try to help the OCD stuff, and it actually got a bit worse. She has begun to be more concerned with germs and wants to wash more often. As I said, it seems like it could be much worse--she can move on from it. We haven't done any chelating yet because her gut is still so inflammed. Major distended belly in spite of the everything free diet, which is wearing thin after 4 years. Thanks, > > > Dana, > > For us it's still OCD and perservative behaviors, vocal tics, oppositional > > definace, and he's on a serious emotional rollercoaster all day long. > > His strep titers are back in a normal range and his PANDAS profile numbers > > have come down significantly. > > > At my house, most vocal tics and emotional issues were related to yeast, but I was reminded a few months ago that B12 depletes B2. Are you using now, or have you used in the past, B12? If so, try increasing B2. [b1 also tends to deplete B2.] > > My #3 developed a preoccupation with being first for everything. He would race thru each meal. He would push aside his siblings so he could be first in the car, and first out of the car. He cried if he was not the winner in every game. It was beginning to be a nightmare. > > #2 would have major issues if the car windows were not fully rolled up, and the radio station was not tuned to a specific station. He also had specific ideas on how certain things MUST be done, and became very upset if they were not done exactly in that manner. This caused major issues at times, altho not nearly as bad as #3's obsession with being first. > > This drove me [and the rest of the family] nuts for many months, until one day, almost simultaneously, #3 developed sores on his fingers [which was usually deficiency of folic acid and/or vitamin C, but not this time] and #2 developed a split lip. Hallelujah for the split lip! I was soooooo happy! I gave both boys B2, because mouth/lip issues was B2 deficiency here in the past. Not only did the B2 eliminate the finger sores and the split lip, but the OCD issues described above, were eliminated in a matter of days. > > Just something to consider. > > Other OCD issues here, were related to viruses. > > Oppositional defiance issues were caused by a number of factors. Which supps do you give right now? > > Dana >

Do you know how much you were giving? The only supp my son needs right now is B12, and I have to give it with a few other supps that it either depletes or requires for proper absorption. I am giving him 2500mcg mB12 2x per day, and he requires 100mg B2 with each dose of mB12. Dana
