Guest guest
, Hi girl...you are doing so good. I'm very happy for you. I had my surgery with Dr. R on 3/15/01 and have lost 30 pounds (I weigh again tomorrow). I hope to have more good news too. Keep us all posted as you lose. I lost 26 lbs! I am very happy. My PCP says that I look great and he is very comfortable that I made a great choice with the MGB. He is sure that I will be saying for the rest of my life that this was the best decision that I ever made. (I am already saying that!) Also, he has a family relative who is a surgeon and he says that Dr. Rutledge's reputation is incredible. He is a very skilled surgeon (which I now know first hand!) My doc says that it is incredible that DRH caved to the insurance companies (BC/BS) and that all of this mess could be caused by the psychotic Energizer Bunny (you know who....) I was surprised that he even knew about her! Anyway, I'm doing the Snoopy dance today....joy joy joy.... Take Good Care, 292/266/1??

Guest guest
Just a suggestion, I used to be horrible about taking pills during the day, but I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 7 day - 4 compartments a day medicine container. I split my pills out during the day. I have done great at keeping up with it. I don't know why, it just sees easier for me to know when I have taken something verses forgetting. I don't know if that will help you to alleviate your morning regimen of " packing them in " , but maybe it will. Well, that's my 2 cents for the day. 11/26/02 261/217 One month Update > Well I am one month out. I feel great, started at 244 and I am now > 215. So 29 lbs is great for a month. Guest guest
Yesterday was my one month anniversary on LDN for Fibromyalgia, PCOS, Hypothyroid and restless legs syndrome. I can't believe how much my life has changed. I have so much more energy and I feel so much better. I still have pain but it is much less-ie: manageable with very little pain meds. In the last three days I've had two people comment on how good I look. It kind of snuck up on me, but I actually do feel better. I've had days where I felt exhausted and awful. Some nights I felt like I hardly slept at all. And then there were others where I woke up feeling like I had the best sleep of my life. There were a few days where I didn't think the LDN was working at all, and then there were days where I was so excited because it actually felt like it was. I can actually get up in the morning and not have to hold onto the wall for support. And my morning stiffness and pain are at least 50% better. And then I caught a bad head cold and the flu. Or anyway, I thought I had. I had the usual symptoms of a full head, sore throat, fever and chills. It lasted about 24 to 36 hours and then it just disappeared and I felt fine. It usually always goes into my chest, but this time, I just had a little sinus drainage and phlegm I coughed up a few times and then It was gone. Oh yes, about two weeks out I did have the start of some Candida issues, but I had read that this might happen so I was taking some Olive leaf capsules and Candida cleansing capsules along with probiotics and that helped and now that's okay too. I've also been watching my diet and trying to remain gluten free and eating lots of raw vegetables. And of course I always take my multi-vitamins and doubled them when I thought I was coming down with the cold. One thing I have noticed is waking up with night sweats. I'm past menopause and never had much of a problem with hot flashes, probably because of my PCOS and thyroid, but now I have to toss off the covers a couple of times a night to cool down. I do have an appointment with my dr. to have my thyroid checked in a couple of months, but I'll be watching myself to make sure I don't get hyper before then. One last thing I didn't expect is with my restless legs. It feels as though that might be getting better also. I take Miripex for it and I used to take a dose about 3-4 pm and then another at bedtime. Gradually, it seems I've been needing to take it later and later in the afternoon and for the past couple of days I haven't needed to take any until my dose at bedtime. That is something that I didn't expect to ever happen. I think I'm even more excited about that then how I feel about my fibromyalgia being better. Thank you LDN!!! Guest guest
- What great news Judy - congratulations - hope it keeps getting better. I have two of your four things (fibro and Thyroid) and will be starting LDN soon so it gives me hope for some symptom relief. I know it works for MS as my husband has been on it for four years so I`m looking forward to joining the LDN folks! Bev
