Yes, I use Levaxine everyday as my thyroid glands are not working at all (I've

undergone radioactive iodine treatment). Could the Levaxine be related to what I

am experiencing?

Hi!

Actually I have never heard it before I was told at this board, so I have to

look into it. My blood pressure has not been to bad the last 2 years,..it's been

normal but within the lower range. It's just now that being on LDN that I have

the feeling it's too low again. Actually I'm not even sure if the heavy feeling

is related to low blood pressure, - the feeling I get is the same as when taking

a valium...like all tired and heavy, even hard to keep eyes open at times. I've

been wondering if I should try to use an even smaller dose than 1,5 mg (I'm 57

kg).

if i understand correct you live in norway.then it might be difficult to find a

doctor that knows how to work with armour thyroid,bio-identical hormones

specially progesterone and knows how to support adrenal also when you do not

have addison.i do not know if you have such a doctor in norway.here in the

netherlands we do not have and therefore we have to go to belgium to such a

doctor.the ldn bring changes to the immune system and you begin to attack

viruses or bacterias.you can get die off,but in your case your system might not

be able to handle it.build it very slowly and look for a good doctor and not one

that treats adrenal when you have addison

Hoi!

hmm...I'm not sure if we have doctors that knows a lot about the adrenal issue

here in Norway, I'll do a google search and see what I can find, but I suspect I

won't find a lot of information. Do you know any good sites with information

about adrenal fatigue, but not having 's? Where in Belgium is this doctor

situated? Do you know his name? I would be very interested in looking into this,

as I have a lot of fatigue on a daily basis (also long before starting on LDN).

I just posted on another message about LDN and low cortisol/adrenalin and about

much the same issues.

From reading the other posts, low BP doesn't seem to be a direct side effect of

the LDN, but maybe rather a response from your body due to the effects of the

LDN.

I always have lowish BP, 90/60 etc, but with hydrocortisone for adrenal fatigue

it has been better, up over 100. Since starting LDN just recently I've noticed

my BP drop, a lot more dizziness and breathlessness. That heavy feeling in my

body also but thats more in the evenings. The low BP is all the time.

Someone mentioned illness can lower your BP. Perhaps b/c the LDN is stimulating

the immune system, it is using my cortisol/adrenal reserves, thus the drop in

BP.

I thought the heavy feeling was the opiates increasing as low BP tends to make

me weak and shaky, not leaden.

Just my two cents! :)

Look at my recent post (a separate post) - wrote about low cortisol, adrenaline

and ldn. I think you are experiencing something similar.

The heavy feeling = higher t3 and/or lower cortisol/adrenal fatigue.

....well, the heavy feeling I've experienced could be compared with the feeling I

get when taking a valium (I have taken it before opeations, and the feeling is

very similar!). About 30 min. after taking LDN, I get really tired, my arms feel

really heavy for example when typing on the computer, it's in a way like my body

is a sleep, and my mind is trying to force it to stay awake. It stayed like that

for around 6 hours, and after I felt exhausted of being exhausted. The first 2

days I tried LDN I didn't notice anything, but then the next 2 days I got these

side effects.I'm very surprised, as I've done a lot of research on LDN before

starting it, and I never read about side-effects like that.

I’ve been on LDN for only two nights (for Crohn’s). Those are

exactly the side-effects I’ve had: the limb-heaviness, and almost liked being

slightly drugged.

Think of it as such, get in bed, breathe deeply and relax (or

try to).

Did go to bed right after you took your dose? For me I

immediately realized that’s absolutely necessary. If you fight it you will be

awake for hours.

You have to “go with” the heaviness.

The first night I slept, was awake, slept, was awake, all night

long (plus a long awake stretch from 5-8 a.m). Last night I already slept much

better, though this morning on waking it felt like my brain had been full of

jumbled stuff all night long.

I was in bed more than 12 hours these last two nights,

and still could have slept longer. I’ve felt achy and tired in the morning both

days, but that dissipated once I forced myself to get up. I can’t even imagine

taking LDN in the morning. I think I’d be a zombie all day, I think. I’m

assuming that good things are happening during all those hours when I’m asleep,

and that my body needs all that rest.

I’m already feeling good effects on my mitochondrial dysfunction

related muscle problem (not enough oxygen in my cells, and constant lactic acid

in my muscles). I’m pretty drug sensitive, so I took about 2 mg. the first

night, and 2.5 (the other half of the capsule) last night. Given the effect so

far, I’m not going to take 4.5 mg for a while yet.

I had this exact same experience .. i even went to the hospital, my body felt so

heavy. As a result, i don't think i can continue. I stopped

for a couple days, then took it again and had an adrenline attack. It is messing

with my adrenals and neurotransmitters and i have never felt worse in my

life.... I don't know how to recuperate from this...

ok..well...my first dose I took at night (some months ago, and I just tried it

one day to see the effect, but decided to stop). Then I felt like the LDN was

making me awake, and I wasn't able to sleep very well. So, a few months later,

when I decided to try it again, I tried during daytime. The first 2 days went

ok, no side effects I think, so I decided to get back to the night time dose

again. But then...tataaaa.....I got the heaviest drugged feeling, and wasn't

able to sleep well because I felt so uncomfortable. I was really tired, yes, but

I felt anxious to sleep because I felt really bad. So, then..with a day's break

from the drug, i decided to try daytime again...and I got the same heavy,

drugged feeling. I was like a zombie from 30 min. after I took the tablet (1,5

mg) and for at least 6 hours. After the 6 hours I was exhausted of feeling

drugged.

So...I really don't know if I can continue using LDN. I know I've just used it a

few days and people tell it's important to be persistant, but when feeling so

drugged I actually get scared it's doing some damage, and also I'm not able to

do anything at all that day (or sleep very bad if I take the dose at night). I

think I'll look ito the adreanal fatigue issue that has been mentioned here on

the site before continue using LDN. I have a lot of signs of adrenal fatigue, so

there might be something in it.

After the 6 hours I was exhausted of feeling

drugged.

a few days and people tell it's important to be persistant, but when feeling so

drugged I actually get scared it's doing some damage, and also I'm not able to

do anything at all that day (or sleep very bad if I take the dose at night). I

think I'll look ito the adreanal fatigue issue that has been mentioned here on

the site before continue using LDN. I have a lot of signs of adrenal fatigue, so

there might be something in it.

==================

The feeling sluggish side effects usually subside after a few days. This is

your body adjusting to the endorphin boost. Since you are experiencing such a

harsh sluggish reaction I'd get my yeast load checked by an OAT urinary

dysbiosis test.

I took it for 10 days and it didn't subside .. in fact, after that the feeling

didn't go away and my adrenals were really stressed.

I truly, truly think that there should be a contraindication for adrenal

fatigue, unless they are adequately supported.I would love to use ldn but i

definately can't at this point.

disease (treated and under control), very dry eyes and something that I suspect

to be fibrolyalgia (haven't got the diagnose, but surely got many of the

symptoms). I decided to try LDN to see if it could reduce some of my fatigue and

pain, and maybe also help on my dry eyes.

dose. I've been experimenting a bit, and will explain it here:

> Some months ago I took 1,5 mg just to see my reaction on it (took it at

night), but felt it kept me awake and I was not able to sleep. I was also quite

anxious, as it was the first time I took it, so it could be a reaction of that

too. Anyway...I decided to postpone the whole LDN-thing for a while, and 3 days

ago I started again.

> This time I took 1,5 mg at noon the first 2 days, but didn't feel anything

special at all. Not more energy, not more tired than usual,..nothing. Then I

wanted to try to go back to taking it at night the third day, and then I got a

very heavy feeling in my body, same feeling you have when having low blood

pressure, and I slept very bad due to this feeling. Could it be a coincidence,

or could it be connected to the LDN? I have low blood pressure from time to

time, but usually in the day and not when going to sleep...
