Guest guest
I have received the results for the organic acid test for my girl.It shows increased phenylethylaminergique activity, sharply increased dopaminergic activity and increased serotoninergic activity. Is someone here on the board who know what all these things mean? Is it some supplements she can take for this, for calming her neurotransmitters? It is very difficult to understand all this. I am very greatfull if somebody help me on this.
Guest guest
Where do you go (what type of practitioner) to have one of these types of tests done? Is this something that is covered by insurance or yet another thing they do not typically cover? Thanks, Theresa On 3/4/09, monholt67 <no_reply > wrote: > > I have received the results for the organic acid test for my girl.It > shows > increased phenylethylaminergique activity, sharply increased dopaminergic > activity and increased serotoninergic activity. Guest guest
This is a test I payed for. I live in Norway and here is not much doctors know about treating autism or biomedical intervention. They give you the diagnosis and after that they just say: you must wait and see how she is doing when she gets older. I ordered this test to Laboratoire Philippe Auguste in Paris. So I have not a doctor who can help me. > > > > I have received the results for the organic acid test for my girl.It > > shows > > increased phenylethylaminergique activity, sharply increased dopaminergic > > activity and increased serotoninergic activity. Guest guest
, I am a member of another site here related to down syndrome research. There are many very informed people on the site with a lot of expertise on the biomedical issues. If you go into a Google site called Changing Minds Foundation, there will be links there to the Emil support group. If you join the group they may be able to direct you further. Or you can just email the Changing Minds Foundation on their " email us " and I am quite sure you will be given further help to get this dx interpreted. I simply cannot understand how it is that you paid for tests and yet have not had these tests explained with treatment plans. I want to caution you that you may have been a victim of a fraud. There are so so many fraudulent testing facilities who are preying on parents of children with autism, taking large amounts of money and making false promises. I sincerely hope this is not the case. I suggest you look at the autism quackery site which you can also Google. Hope this helps. Jay with regards from canada -- Re: About neurotransmitters This is a test I payed for. Guest guest
Did my original response not get posted? I think I answered a few days ago, but can't remember if I actually saw it on the board. I can post it again, if necessary, or perhaps you didn't find it helpful, in which case... Never mind! :-) >> >> >> >>> >>> >>> >>> >>> >> >> >>
