Guest guest
We have been chelating my 7yo son on 25mg of DMSA every 4 hours on the weekends for about 2 months now. After every treatment, we tend to have problems with yeast. I have him on 4 gms Biotin, at least 5 gms Vit C, and 125mg GSE daily for yeast. We did notice that if we took 11 days off of chelating, our yeast problems were better. Do you think we should continue at 11 days off or stay at 4 days off and add more antiyeast products? We are getting great results with chelating and are hesitant to slow down but we also would like to keep the yeast under control. He is also on OLE 1500mg a day. Can OLE kick up the yeast also? I also remember that GSE should not be a suppliment used everyday. If you always have yeast problems, why can't you use GSE every day? What are the problems with supplimenting it every day? Thanks soooo much for your help! Kelley
Guest guest
Hi Kelley, Does your 7 year old weigh over 100lb? That's a high dose for 7 yo. 100 pounds or more it would be 1/4 mg per pound at 25mg. Maybe halve the dose and see if yeast isn't such an issue. It will still chelate. GSE kills yeast and other good bacteria. That is why not every day forever. We did use it every day while getting yeast under control. Better to not stir up so much yeast though. That would be like giving him an entire bottle per day [which I have done, altho not with biotin]. Are you sure you don't mean mg? >>at least 5 gms > Vit C, This will tend to increase yeast if it is eliminating viruses. >>and 125mg GSE daily for yeast. I did 3/11 if I was unable to control yeast, and 3/4 the rest of the time. So if you are having problems with yeast control, then you can do 3/11. Or, increase the yeast protocol. For example, I gave 20mg biotin 3x per day, plus GSE [more than 125mg] with each of the three biotin doses. > He is also on OLE 1500mg a day. Can OLE kick up the yeast also? Yep, big time. Viral die off caused MUCH more yeast here than chelation did. > I also remember that GSE should not be a suppliment used everyday. I used it every day for over 4 years. You can use it every day if you are doing protocols that tend to increase yeast [like chelation and anti-virals]. If you give it when there is no yeast present, it will tend to cause a bad bacteria problem. But so long as there is yeast present, you can give it every day. Guest guest
Thanks for all the great advice. You were correct. My Biotin is from Carlson and is 1000 mcg a tablet. So I am giving him 4 mg a day, divided in 4 doses. Should I increase the Biotin? How can you tell when and if you have completed the viral die off or bacterial die off? As you can tell we are treating both right now. If the viruses are gone, then the suppliments we are using are no longer needed in such high doses and could be causing the increased yeast. I am trying to figue out if it is the chicken or the egg! The most I gave my son was 20mg 3x per day. >>How can you tell when and if you have completed the viral die off or bacterial die off? Bacteria was somewhat easier, I looked for loss of symptoms, and even the anti-bacteria started causing problems. Viruses took 4 years to eliminate [could have been 2 years if I knew then what I know now]. At first, I only realized I was addressing viruses when I tried to remove something that acted as an anti-viral. Later on, loss of symptoms did not necessarily mean the end of the viruses. But eventually a combination of factors told me that the viruses were gone. >>As you can tell we are treating both right now. If the viruses are gone, then the suppliments we are using are no longer needed in such high doses and could be causing the increased yeast. If you are giving anti-virals and you have increased yeast, it is likely that there are still viruses. Anti-virals did not cause yeast here, once the viruses were gone.
