Guest guest
Hi everyone, My son (9 yrs, PDD-NOS, 115 lbs) eats a lot: too much, and he's overweight.(He's also tall for his age, so the 115 lbs, while bad, isn't quite as bad as it might appear.) I suspect his body is craving amino acids, and I'm supplementing several of them, but not all of them, and I do not know if the ones I am giving are in the amounts he needs. What have other parents done for children in this situation? Is there an amino acid supplement that families have used with success? I'd love to find one that includes all the amino acids in good proportions. We are GF/CF/SF, so need a supplement that is, too. TIA,

When my son was eating too much, it meant he was eating something not tolerated, and/or he had a yeast overgrowth issue. >>I suspect his body is craving > amino acids, and I'm supplementing several of them, but not all of > them, and I do not know if the ones I am giving are in the amounts he > needs. > What have other parents done for children in this situation? I used Jay Robb whey protein powder, which is cf, altho kids with intolerances to non-casein parts of milk might have a problem with it.
