Guest guest
We just finished round 16 of chelation (DMSA/ALA). Our son has always needed a fairly high dose of his multi vitamins and minerals, along with other supps Andy recommends on and off round. He has gut issues, he is always a picky eater, usually more so on round, to the point we have to beg him to eat. He is 3 1/2 and 30 lbs and has been so for over a year. He never gains weight. We just tried supplementing omega 3/6/9 fish oil, vit e,recently, both of which were disasters due to soy allergy. We tried B6 - P5P with mag, which was a disaster, he became violent, so we stopped, then were left with a terrible yeast problem, used gse, which was a worse disaster, so we stopped and went back to our old antifungal regimen. We also noticed on round 15, even without all of these things, that he was really hyper after his multis and after carnitine and other supps. A week before this round we reduced all of his supps by 25% (except yeast control), stopped all of the other new stuff we have been giving mentioned above. The change is amazing. He is hungry constantly now, and eats like a horse. He may have even gained a pound. He is calmer, and talking more. He makes somewhat formed bowel movements, no more diarrhea. What does this mean? Is it possible that chelation is working quicker than we thought? What can account for these changes? Should we continue at the reduced rate of supps? Does his body just need less now? We are so used to bad reactions and problems, we don't know what to make of this. He still seems to struggle a bit with getting his words out, so we want to add in some soy free efa's and give additional vitamin A and taurine. But right now we are so afraid to change anything. Has this ever happened to anyone? Thanks. Irene
