Guest guest
My son has been on diflucan, nystatin and flagyl for a good spell due to bad yeast and clostridia. We are chelating with dmsa and his yeast and clostiridia (diet in place) continues to resurface. It's time to take a break from these meds and I want to replace them with a hardy naturopathic plan. He is 4, weighs 37 lbs, and I have to put his supps in a small bit of pear juice, no pills yet. I'd love to hear suggestions, I'll take doses if you can tell me, which brands and where you get them. He's on a lot of supplements so if there is anything that should be seperated I'd love to know.We do probiotics at night right now. I know I'm in it for the long haul with yeast until we get his metals down, his gut is healing slowly with scd, and we know there is a viral issue to address a bit further down the line. Thanks in advance for any help.Alison M [ ] DMSA Question > > Hi > I ordered my DMSA through VRP on Friday and I recieved an email with a tracking delivery #. Guest guest
I've tried GSE with my 4yo, but the taste was too bitter for him. He can swallow pills, but he won't. He's been on Candex with GREAT results. It's an enzyme that eats the cell walls of yest. You do have to give on an empty stomach. He doesn't eat breakfast right away, so I gave him 1/4 to 1/2 capsule as soon as he woke up, then wait at least an hour before he ate breakfast. I opened up the capsule into a creased piece of parchment paper and poured it into his mouth. This is how I dose a lot of his supplements. Guest guest
For those wishing to use GSE...I use the tablets..I grind them up in my coffee bean grinder...I actually deliberately bought it for grining up vitamins..hee, hee. Anyway, grind the tablets into powder and put the powder into foods/drinks. Works good in our house. My son is way anti-pills. GSE is strong stuff. It's been working for us for three years now. We use it on an as needed basis. Be sure to use probiotics daily if you are using it. And give the two at least four hours away from each other. > > > > > > > My son has been on diflucan, nystatin and flagyl for a good spell due to > > bad yeast and clostridia. We are chelating with dmsa and his yeast and > > clostiridia (diet in place) continues to resurface. It's time to take a break > > from these meds and I want to replace them with a hardy naturopathic plan. > > He is 4, weighs 37 lbs, and I have to put his supps in a small bit of pear > > juice, no pills yet. Guest guest
I've got to chime in about Candex. This is excellent stuff, when my sweetie couldn't swallow capsules I used to put it in roughly under a 1 tsp of unsweetened applesauce right before bed and spoon it into his mouth, worked like a charm, better than Nyastatin. I was also giving him A LOT of dairy-free acidophillius from Nature's Sunshine which really helped too~ Stacee ________________________________ From: Jan <mercurybabies2@...> Sent: Monday, March 2, 2009 6:42:22 PM Subject: [ ] Re: switching from presciption anti-fungals to naturopathic For those wishing to use GSE...I use the tablets..I grind them up in my coffee bean grinder...I actually deliberately bought it for grining up vitamins..hee, hee. Guest guest
Great suggestion! I may be trying that out, I can put it in something other than applesauce...since he don't eat that either...picky little guy I have...lol. > > > > > > > > > > > My son has been on diflucan, nystatin and flagyl for a good spell > due to > > > bad yeast and clostridia. We are chelating with dmsa and his yeast and > > > clostiridia (diet in place) continues to resurface. It' s time to > take a break > > > from these meds and I want to replace them with a hardy > naturopathic plan. > > > He is 4, weighs 37 lbs, and I have to put his supps in a small bit > of pear > > > juice, no pills yet. Grapefruit juice and orange juice both hide the bitternes completely. Also GSE needs to be given two hours away from probiotics. It kills stuff indiscriminately. >He's been on Candex with GREAT results. It's an enzyme that eats the cell >walls of yest. You do have to give on an empty stomach. Guest guest
sure! pear sauce, I know some parents have used GF/CF pudding, the key is SMALL amount of a carrier substance on an empty stomach for best results~ ;D ________________________________ From: Jan <mercurybabies2@...> Sent: Monday, March 2, 2009 7:21:33 PM Subject: [ ] Re: switching from presciption anti-fungals to naturopathic Great suggestion! I used biotin and GSE. Recently switched to biotin and ACV for those of us who still need a touch of yeast control. Dana
