Guest guest
Keep away from mercury... My child was mercury exposed a lot I had an amalgam filling while I was pregant. I already had a mouthful of amalgam fillings I have negative blood so I got the rogam shots My son was late so he got evicted from my belly with induction using pitocin. He was born when all the shots still had thimerosal. I had a vitamin B shot as soon as I found out I was pregnant and I have ondered if that had thimerosal too. I had progesterone vaginal suppositories while I was pregnant and I have wondered if there was any thimerosal in that. When my son got all his shots... as directed,,,, he got Tylenol which actually reduces your glutethione needed to get the junk used in the shots out of your body. As a result......... my son has mercury poisoning and his ped is referring him to another doctor for chelation. The mercury probably messed up his immune system and gave him a leaky gut. My son is normal as long as he does not eat gluten or dairy. But if he takes in those proteins, he is an ASD kid in need of help. > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. Guest guest
My thoughts: Absolutely no vaccines for mom while pregnant or baby when born. Mom shouldn't have any dental work done while pregnant if she has amalgam (silver) fillings. Mom shouldn't eat fish or any other potentially mercury laden foods. Avoiding other heavy metal exposure is a good thing too. A sound, healthy diet, low in sugar and avoiding caffeine which stresses baby's developing system is good too. Clean filtered water with NO chlorine or fluoride. AND do not give baby fluoride no matter how safe and necessary the pediatrician says it is. The better nutrition that baby gets in the womb, the better its chances of developing a healthy system that can deal with toxins and handle its nutrients. #1 on my list though - DO NOT LET THEM INDUCE LABOR unless it is a truly life threatening emergency. Let the baby come when it is ready and mom's body thinks it is ready, not when some doctor thinks it will be convenient. I've seen too many kids induced only to have underdeveloped systems that can't handle the new onslaught of our toxic world. Guest guest
My daughter isn't autistic but has gut damage and some other issues. I attribute that all to my leaky gut during pregnancy, eating tons of wheat during pregnancy(found out afterward I'm sensitive to it), and the abx during labor. So my suggestion is to limit/avoid gluten, eat nourishing foods that help the gut, and avoid abx during preg and labor.

Guest guest
- no amalgams placed during pregnancy (or while breastfeeding) - no flu shots - no newborn shot - alternate vaccine schedule or no vaccines for baby. - do measles, mumps, and rubella separately, not 3in1 shot. - eliminate toxins - go organic, natural, etc. - no mercury (compact fluorescent) light bulbs. Guest guest
I definitely question the amount of iron in prenatals - check the fda's website for the daily recommended value for pregnant women - it's like a 1/3 of what's in prenatals, so prenatals have way too much iron! Also, I don't think so much folic/Folinic acid is such a good thing either. It can only help against spina bifida until the 7th or 8th week, from what I read - and yet, they have us taking it the entire pregnancy. From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of DavAliNee@... Guest guest
I'm sorry for all of the posts, I just keep thinking of these.. No BPA baby bottles, tell her to buy glass. Sorry, I am not so sure I even trust the bpa-free ones yet. The canisters of powdered formula have said to have aluminum in them - have her do research on this. No soy formula for a boy. (Not saying this causes autism per se, but soy is not good for baby boys.) Cloth Diapers - If I knew then about all the chemicals in baby diapers, I would have cloth diapered, no matter how inconvenient. Make your own baby wipes - those are loaded with chemicals too. (You can Google recipes for homemade baby wipes - really quite easy!) No hep shot in hospital, no vitamin K in eyes either. No antibiotics unless extremely necessary. Buy the car seat WAY in advance and air it out for as long as possible - if off gasses something fierce. The chemicals on them are truly toxic. If her child starts to have stomach issues, reflux, colic - tell her to stop vaccinating and go with the wait and see approach (if she feels she must vaccinate) No Tylenol before or after vaccines, use motrin once baby is old enough for motrin. Have her buy an organic baby mattress like this one: http://whitelotus.net/ProductDetail-1375.html Or at the very least wrap a mattress with the right kind of sheeting so the baby is not inhaling what's coming out of that mattress. Wash all baby sheets, blankets - anything with a flame retardant - 5 times in Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent - more than 5 times is even better. Better yet, tell her not to buy any baby clothes/pajamas with the flame retardants. Tell her to not let her ped bully her into thinking she is doing the wrong thing by not vaccinating. Tell her to naturally treat a yeast infection if she gets one - and tell her not to ignore it. A good yogurt should do the trick - she can eat it or use an empty tampon applicator to get it where it's needed. Guest guest
I had that metallic taste during pregnancy so badly, that I could not tolerate my own saliva and used to spit it out. But I had 14 teeth with amalgams. So for me I was tasting my amalgams due to the fact that taste and smell are heightened during pregnancy. Everyone told me the foul taste was just due to elevated hormones which made no sense to me, because not every woman tastes metal while pregnant, and why would my own hormones taste funny??! > > > > > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. Guest guest
Our suggestions on avoiding autism: Make sure mom and dad don't have amalgams. If they do removed them, detox and wait 18 months to conceive. Make sure mom has not had any recent vaccines (previous year or two). Don't get any vaccines while pregnant (no flu or whatever). Don't have dental work done while pregnant. (you will be exposed to Hg vapor in the dental office. contrary to what the dentist says, your teeth will not fall out if you skip one cleaning. You can get it done after baby is born.) Don't eat anything from the sea. NO Fish or seafood at all. Take lots of vitamins/minerals and eat organic. This includes metal free cod liver oil each day, flax seed. (Nourishing traditions has excellent dietary guidelines for pregnancy.Eggs every day, yolks too. You need good quality protein, and plenty of greens, b vitamins like folic acid, Calcium too. Don't have your baby in a hospital. (yes, I know that sounds odd but babies born at home by midwives fare better. they are not subject to paranoid interventions like vitamin K shots, antibiotics, bright lights and the whole hosts of germs there) This is the biggest!! Don't vaccinate your baby!!! Not just because of the mercury or aluminum, but because it has been shown that the junk in the vaccines causes autoimmunity, and causes the immune cells of the brain to activate attacking the brain and cns. It also causes tons of other things like allergies, asthma, diabetes, seizures, encephalitis, brain damage and even death in some babies. This is what SIDS really is. Children can be kept healthy through diet and common sense, so if they do catch anything, they will fight it off effectively. Breast feed your baby! I know it's so not convenient these days, but it needs to be put on the top shelf. It protects baby from illness and brain injury and metals. Formula is really nutritionally inadequate. Begin egg yolks at 4 months and cod liver oil for baby (again Nourishing traditions). The fewer interventions the better...no ultrasounds, no medications while pregnant..not even tylenol which they claim is safe. Mom should avoid using cleaners that are not natural, don't dye your hair, paint your nails, paint the nursery, work in a hair salon, get your hair permed..etc...try to have someone else pump your gas..you get the idea. You want to avoid anything unnatural or toxic. What goes in mom, goes in baby. Fortunately for me, any of this stuff made me vomit instantly. I found it interesting that when I had my son 6 years ago, the doctor told me to avoid most of this stuff. But when My sister was pregnant 2 years ago, they told it was ok to get her hair dyed at the salon (never mind the fumes), and painting the nursery was ok. And if she wanted her flu shot...etc. She refused of course, and did not do any of these things because I told her otherwise. They also offered her antidepressants! While pregnant for the blues you get sometimes when pregnant. Which I could not beleive they did, because there are lawsuits about paxil causing heart defects in infants... The least one can do is: don't vaccinate the baby and eat as healthy as possible, don't take any medications or vaccines while pregnant. They also say to avoid pain drugs and inductions if you can. This may not be possible for everyone, but with a midwife, my understanding is that these type of things don't happen often. For my son his poisoning was from: mom's amalgams and 2.vaccines. This is evident by the high amount of aluminum in his hair. If at all possible don't live near coal fired power plants or factories. > > > > > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. Guest guest
soy is not good for girls either. soy slows down the thyroid. If an infant cannot be breastfed, one can make excellent formula using Nourishing Traditions recipes. There are nutritionally exceptional. They even have a milk free one for kiddos who don't do well on the milk. If you have to use disposables, get chlorine free ones. Same with wipes..they sell natural ones if you don't want to make any. And for the love of peat...avoid and and all their lovely baby cleaning products that are full of chemicals. Find natural soaps for baby, natural lotions and natural sun block. Don't use the other stuff. Also natural diaper cream. Buying only 100% cotton bedding and pajamas as they are not treated with flame retardant chemicals. (those feety jammies are horrible) Get a mattress wrap for the crib. They sell these online. Wash the car seat padding before using it and try to avoid baby skin contact with it. Same goes for play pens etc. They are treated with antimony. I used cotton sheets to cover the play pen mattress. You can purchase organic or natural bedding, but 100% cotton will suffice and is more affordable. We covered the crib mattress with a BabeSafe cover and then used all cotton bedding and pjs. And no tap water for mom or baby. People buy that Nursery Water which is nothing more than poison...they put fluoride in it. > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. Guest guest
These are the medications used for epidural: bupivacaine or ropivacaine. The narcotics that are most commonly used are fentanyl and sufentanil. The fentanyl or sufentanil is often used with the bupivacaine. I did not find thimerosal to be in the content. It is preserved with methyparaben and only multidose vials. Individual vials do not have preservative or antibacterial. And does contain EDTA. I am wondering if EDTA is why you tasted metal? The injectable sufentanil does not contain preservatives either. At least according to Merck. In any case, this stuff crosses the placenta..so probably not good for baby. Opiods are not usually good for babies. But no mercury. > > > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. She asked me > how to avoid autism > > and I wanted to ask the experts. Guest guest
My understanding of ultrasounds is that not only does it create loud noise in utero, but it heats up the babies cells. That can't be good. The noise is why they always turn away when you try to look at them on ultrasound. I agree...avoid em if you can. There's really no reason to look at the baby other than we are impatient. Or in the rare cases of potential health threats to baby. > > > > > > > > My friend is pregnant and wants to have a healthy baby. Guest guest
I totally agree with avoiding ultrasounds, additionally as harmful as ultrasounds are the baby's heart monitors. Both have the same type of waves that cook and alter babies brains. Take apart the carseat and wash the cover in disposable basket and live it for a couple days in baking soda. Then wash 5 or more times. Try to eat as much organic veggies and fruits as possible. avoid all vaccines! have a beautiful, intimate homebirth! breastfeed your baby and avoid all plastic diapers! use all cotton diapers with wool covers. Use a natural detergent like seventh generation, ecover to wash the clothes. Also use a non toxic soap to wash dishes, and natural soap for mama. Use chlorine free water to shower/bathe. Buy a good shower filter.

Or speed ahead to when humans figure out they can't keep beating the crap out of Mother Nature without dire consequences. Did anybody else read the NYT article on Bipolar kids? I wanted to throw up throughout. One time in the piece the word autism appeared. Not once did they question toxins or biomed tests. It vaguely mentioned genetics to explain their behavior. I thought the NYT was progressive. Only mentioned big pharma as a not so great answer and no mention of epigenetics and body burden in a polluted world.
