Why not make milk/yoghurt/cottagey 'cheese' from raw sunflower seeds. It's

delicious, and with the organic ones at whole foods being 1.99 a pound,

probably a lot cheaper, and full of enzymes too.

Really easy: in a blender or vitamix soak sunflower seeds for about 4+

hours, with a clean water (I use reverse-osmosis as we have a store in town and

it's inexpensive and delicious) and then cover and blend smooth. At the end of

the blending, add some probiotics (I use the ones from Klaire labs) and any

will do (as will enough warmth under 110 degees). Put in a warm place till

it tastes like kefir or yogurt. It will rise, so don't overfill container!

(don't use metal)

Refrigerate when it tastes right.

The amount of water you use determines whether it is milk, yogurt, 'cheese'.

It is so delicious! Also sunflower seed is supposed to have vitamin D, or

so I've read.

(These seeds will also sprout if you drain the water off and follow

sprouting procedures.)(good for salads, vegeburgers, pate, etc.
