Guest guest
Hi All, Just wanted to follow up on last week's discussion of DMSA/ALA chelation and how much one must drink with each dose. First, thanks to all who replied. I learned a lot, as I always do, from those who are experienced and take the time to share with those of us with less experience. I phoned Vitamin Research Products, a company that sells DMSA and from which I've purchased in the past. The consultant I spoke with said that one must drink a lot with each dose in order to flush the mercury from the kidneys as soon as possible. She didn't think that 24 - 32 oz. was unreasonable. I also spoke with a biochemist friend who is researching ASD biomedical issues. My 8 yr old son (PDD-NOS, 100 lbs) has done well this weekend on his first round of DMSA/ALA chelation. I've had him drink 32 oz. w/ each dose during the day, and just 8 oz. with each dose for which I've had to wake him (10 p.m., 2 a.m., 6 a.m.). His eyes are bright and he is seeking a little more conversation with me than usual.
Guest guest
Were you clear in how many doses you were giving in a day? I was told as little as 12 quarts of water in a day could kill an adult. > > Hi All, > Just wanted to follow up on last week's discussion of DMSA/ALA > chelation and how much one must drink with each dose. Guest guest
Let me just say that I never take advice from a " consultant " of any company that sells anything. I actually get the newsletter from VRP monthly and have read many articles in there about using dmsa and their doctor has not yet given anyone the same advice for using that we do here. They tell them it's fine to take it with amalgams in, and it's fine to take it three times a day. Just because they sell it, does not mean they know everything about it or have actually tried it. I can't beleive any human would tell you to consume that much water every four hours. Are you sure she didn't think you meant per day? Well, anyway...I hope the child does not suffer from drinking excessive quantities of water. > > Hi All, > Just wanted to follow up on last week's discussion of DMSA/ALA > chelation and how much one must drink with each dose.
