ALA - how much must one drink?

Hi,

I am gearing up to add ALA to my two sons' chelation schedule (we've

been using DMSA for 2 years, with good results). The ALA dosing

schedule intimidates me! I'm so used to dosing DMSA every 4 hours (8

hours overnight), and we're all accustomed to the boys' having to

drink 32 oz. liquid with each DMSA dose. Here's my question: How much

liquid must one drink with each ALA dose? My boys are 8 and 10 years

old and in public school. While I can imagine dosing them every 3

hours (including overnight) with just enough liquid to wash down the

tablet or capsule, I cannot imagine keeping them awake long enough to

down 32 oz. We'd all be completely miserable and they'd be in no shape

for the challenges of school come Monday morning.
