Guest guest
Sounds like yeast overgrowth to me. Both my 4yo and I get really irritable (to put it mildly) during yeast overgrowth. I found Candex to help a lot w/ my 4yo, and I haven't seen any negative side effects from it. Next time feed him lots of probiotics during antibiotic therapy! Guest guest
Yep, antibiotics kill off all the bacteria in the gut, including the good bacteria, which then leads to yeast overgrowth. Give probiotics and some antifungals to calm things down again. The next time he needs antibiotics, give probiotics four or more hours after the antibiotic dose, and continue this the entire time he is on antibiotics. We use probiotics all the time anyway. Also you can consider if antibiotics are really needed for a particular ailment. For example, I treat sinus infections with antifungals or olive leaf for 10 days. This usually cures them for us. We have not needed antibiotics in years. I get a few sinus and ear infections each year and the antibiotics made my gut such a mess I don't take them anymore. Instead I found that these infections were really caused by yeast following a cold or eating the wrong foods. So for me, I was able to reduce or treat the infections with natural antifungals and probiotics. things to consider....I hope he is feeling better soon. > > My 16-year old boy was recently on an anti-biotic for a sinus infection and > finished his last dose Monday night. Guest guest
Based on direct experience from observations in the family, risperdol is one of those pharmaceuticals with very dangerous side effects that does nothing to treat the underlying cause, which, of course, the neurologist would not properly identify if he were to stay in business (I've never taken the stuff myself). Initially, the risperdol will cause a calming effect which may be a relief, maybe more to others than to the patient. As time goes on, serious weight gain is likely, then agonizing sensations and muscle problems may set it. Much worse may result, too, but I'll leave you to do your own research on this. I just wanted to point out what I've seen personally...
