Guest guest
Hi all, A dentist friend of mine agreed to remove my silver fillings. He has given me a reasonable price. The problem is the composition of the composite he will be using to replace my silver fillings: Here the info I got about it Brand: Esthet.X Composition: The resin matrix of Estehr X Restorative material consists of Bis-GMA adduct, a Bis EMA adduct, and triethylene glycol dimethatcrylate. Camphorquinone (CQ) Photoinitiator Stabilizer Pigments The filler combination consists of barium fluoro alumino boro silicate glass with a mean particle size below 1 um and nanofiller silica (particle size 0.04 um). My question, How safe are these?. I have no clue what they are all about. I know it has a form of aluminum in it, but he doesn't offer anything else and i cannot afford the other dentist right now. Do you recommend getting these any away or do you advise waiting until I can afford a dentist that uses something else? (what will be the safe stuff) Thanks ahead for any input. Guest guest
Best advice is to have it done right. You should be tested for compatability to whatever they replace your amalgams with. Most composites contain toxins like those listed below. Some less toxic than others. You want to aim for one that does not contain fluoride or aluminum, Sadly most all contain Bisphenol. Except Holistore or Diamond Lite. If you can find a dentist to use them. Does he use any other composite material besides this one he gave you? Usually a dentist has two or three they work with. Our regular dentist had four to choose from. My Huggins dentist would not even do my amalgam replacements unless I was tested for compatibility. Of course, in the large scheme of things...composite is better over amalgam any day...but none the less....you want to know what's in it. > > > > Hi all, > > A dentist friend of mine agreed to remove my silver fillings.
