We have to fill in exemption forms when the child attends a publicly

funded preschool or public educational institute. We are in Ontario. I

went to the health unit and got the exemption forms, had them

commisioned at city hall and handed them back into the health unit.

Easy. But if you don't fill in the forms then they harrass you with

standard letters about suspending your child from school.

No , I don't mean freedom for the rich...I mean freedom for everyone. I

believe in freedom. I don't think you appreciate or understand what our

forefathers

fought and died for when they established this great nation. They developed a

government with checks and balances so that it didn't turn into a dictatorship.

resisted government control of any kind. This understanding of freedom was

instilled in

me as a little girl . I was taught that with hard work and determination,

the America I knew growing up and when all is said and done, the only " change "

promised

from Obama will be what is left in your pocket. You mention scare tactics?

Obama has a

definite and different agenda then McCain. If you are scared of these changes

then I

suggest you change your mindset. Since Canada works fine for you, then you have

nothing to worry about. Some of your neighbors, however do not share your

opinion. In

fact they " run " over the border to utilize our healthcare system just as others

in this post

have mentioned. By the way, I was sharing a direct experience from a close

personal

friend of mine in Sweden. These people are so highly taxed they can't breathe!

They pay

over $7/gallon for gas. These people are micromanaged by their government and

they

HATE it! This is the government Obama wants for us.

Now...back to the real issues of Autism and Mercury...vaccinations which robbed

my 2 little

boys of good health and left one crippled with irretractable epilepsy.

I was surprised by what you both wrote. I've lived in four provinces

and have friends in others and have never had to/heard of doing

anything like that. I looked it up. Apparently in Ontario (no

surprise really, now that I think about it), New Brunswick, and

Manitoba (only for measles) is anything like that required.

I actually cannot see how these provinces get away with it. It is a

constitutional right and if someone suspended your kid from school

for exercising your constitutional right, well, somehow that doesn't

seem quite legal to me, even if it is a simple matter to fill in a

paper for an exemption of conscience.

I've worked in schools for a long time. They like to bully people,

often stretching the truth. I'd like to see someone take one of

these school systems/provinces to court about this. Who has the

time and energy though, I suppose.
