Obama has yet to PROVE he was born in the USA. He is being sued for

proof (as there evidence that he was born in Kenya) but is trying to

postpone this lawsuit until after the elections. That would

disqualify him from even running. Perhaps the truth will be revealed...

There are questions if Palin really gave birth to the down

syndrome baby or is it her daughters'. Pictures of her back in March

(where she should be 7 months pregnant) show her looking " non-prenant "

(and this is after having 5 children), yet her daughter has a baby

bulge. Perhaps the truth will be revealed...

I think the bigger issue is Codex Alimentarius which WILL dictate how

controlled, every single person has the right to NOT vaccinate their

parents overseas on March 26, 1790, under the first naturalization

law: " And the children of citizens of the United States that may be

considered as natural born citizens. "

1790, folks, and you're STILL talking about it?

Obama is a natural-born citizen of the US, and thus can be is president.

For that matter, McCain was born in the Panama Canal zone and had to

Glad the Canadian system worked for you. We have many relatives in

Canada, and have actually run drugs across the border because they

couldn't get what they needed under the Canadian system. We'd secure

them here or in Mexico and then bring them over. My uncle is alive

today because my father was creative about how to get medicine to him

when the Canadian system would have let him die from his cancer. I've

seen it, and am not impressed.

There are also many children in that figure of " uninsured " because

parents want them there. Not because parents can't afford the health

insurance and want government to take over. No one in our family

accepts insurance, even if free, since it is part of the problem. We

pay out of pocket, and get some mighty big breaks on fees for paying

cash. I wouldn't believe all the numbers you hear from the media about

what we Americans want. It is often a bit skewed.

Actually, I don't see what the worry is about here. I'm presuming that

if you don't have to wait for surgery today, it means you have money

and/or a good insurance policy that will pay for your surgery. *If*

the US were to ever have state-subsidized healthcare, it would be a

two-tiered system, one that would maintain the current private

practices and also generalize a whole range of services for those in

need. I don't see how anyone can argue that giving lower income

families access to healthcare is anything but a good thing.

The healthcare system in Canada is a one-tier universal healthcare

system so it doesn't allow patients to get fast-tracked services

through private clinics. There are better comparison models out there,

like the one in France, which is pretty enviable. talked

a lot about it in Sicko.

The perversions in medicine aren't limited to state-funding as we all

know. I read recently that there is a trend in the US to outsource the

patient! Insurance companies are trying to cut their costs of

healthcare services by enticing patients to get surgery done overseas.

So it's not just those waiting in the long queues of certain

state-funded healthcare nations that have to fly elsewhere for needed

surgery.

The thing about the US is that you can always count on the bottom line

and business to drive political decisions. Naom Chomsky has said that

that the US healthcare system is more costly than more socialized

models abroad. He's also said in interviews that the US population has

wanted national healthcare for decades, but that the only reason that

it's now talked about by Obama & Clinton is because major players in

manufacturing (notably GE) are complaining of higher manufacturing

costs in the US than in Canada because of higher healthcare costs.

The majority of US citizens have wanted national healthcare for

decades but it's interesting that no one is really analysing the fact

that it's being proposed now because business desires are driving it.

My point was they are BOTH lying so it isn't going to matter who you

vote for - in case one has forgotten, we still count votes via

electoral college NOT individual votes!

It does depend what province you're in. In Ontario you need an

exemption form for school. Vaccines aren't mandated here, but you

still get a hard time from doctors and schools.

We have to fill in exemption forms when the child attends a publicly

funded preschool or public educational institute. We are in Ontario. I

went to the health unit and got the exemption forms, had them

commisioned at city hall and handed them back into the health unit.

Easy. But if you don't fill in the forms then they harrass you with

standard letters about suspending your child from school.

I hope you don't think I'm a fan because I'm not. The original

poster did have a good idea which was for us to contact Obama

(because he is in the lead) and put " vaccine " in the subject line,

which I think would be enough to at least make our presence known.

If I could vote, which I cannot because I don't have a WA ID

card/drivers license yet - recently moved here (yes, I know it's a

crock) I would vote for McCain. I have been following him since 2003

and his views close to my own. I don't think it matters much who we

vote for, the good 'ole boys are going to do whatever they want. I

do think it's important for the people to have a loud, strong voice

on what they believe in.
