Guest guest
How long where you the originally Doxy prescription? If it wasn't 2 months then you may want to go get another opinion! A lot of time Lyme is NOT diagnosed by tests but by a clinician who looks at ALL the symptoms. There is more than one strain of lyme and the blood tests are not very accurate! > [ ] what do I do now? > > I supposedly had a bullseye on July 16 > was treated with Doxy 100 mg BID > Then had blood work on July 18 > it came back negative > Had foot pain, sore toes, achey feet, headaches, 2 colds, > stiff neck, > tingling toes and fingers, hot and cold feelings in toes and fingers, > regular dr did 2nd blood work that had reactive on Band 41 > Went to LLMD on Sept 2 she did more blood work that was sent to MDL > She called today and said I am fine - everything is negative > and no other > tick borne diseases - she is an LLMD with a big reputation > who could gain a ton > of $ from me - > > what do I do now? Guest guest
I did go back to my LLMD -my regular Dr only had me on doxy for 3 wks at 200 mg/day - I am not on ceftin for 6 wks at 1000 mg per day. Despite the " best bloodwork " my results came back negative, tho my symptoms kept getting worse. I am also taking a probiotic that has billions of bacteria in it! I am happy to start treatment now. Guest guest
If you have a herniation.....find another neurosurgeon.....what do you mean all your tests come out ok.....is the herniation not pressing on anything? Why may I ask are you not a candidate for surgery......that makes sense if you just had DDD...when you throw a herniation in there...it doesn't make sense. Deb RN From: spinal problems [mailto:spinal problems ] On Behalf Of missy73256 Sent: Friday, January 02, 2009 9:31 AM spinal problems Subject: What do I do now? I am a 35 year old woman with 5 children and have DDD of my cervical spine with a c4 herniation, I suffer with pain constantly and now having problems with left sided weakness but all my test come out ok. Scheduled to see a neurologist. I also have fybromyialgia, and severe headaches. My neurosurgeon says i am not a candidate for surgery and my doctor says I have to live with it until i no longer can stand the pain. I don't like the idea of being on pain killers all the time. Guest guest
I feel your pain dear. It just breaks my heart that you are so young and have 5 little ones to take care of. I know how you feel about the pain meds for I was the same way at first. I can also understand your reasoning being so young and with the children. I am 58 an no longer care about the pain med issue. I can't even get them. I feel that you were treated unfairly by your doctor and should get a second opinion unless you are stuck in a bad HMO as I am. All I can do is send you a prayer and good thoughts. I can also identify with your pain. Live with it is not a good answer. Cheryl V
Guest guest
Missy, Wow, I know how you feel. And I agree, this doesn't make sense at all. And I went through the same thing years ago. I had a herniation, and stenosis, ect. and my tests supposedly came out normal. All of them. I was told over and over again that there was nothing to fix. I'm sorry, this just burns me....... I hate to see somebody else go through this. Keep seeking a neurosurgeon. When this happened to me, I hardly ever went to the doctors, was nieve about what to do, took me years to get somebody to listen.... Make them listen to you some how.... I believe it helped, for somereason, to bring my husband to the doctors with me to collaborate what I was saying.... Although I think the Mri should speak for its self. I don't get it either. I know its rough, but hang in there. Take care...don't lift anything heavy ((((((compassion)))))) susan. > > I am a 35 year old woman with 5 children and have DDD of my cervical > spine with a c4 herniation, I suffer with pain constantly and now > having problems with left sided weakness but all my test come out ok. > Scheduled to see a neurologist. Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear your are having such a hard time. That's a big responsibility having all those children to care for when you are in pain. I have three and it's been hard just with them, now that the youngest is eight and the oldest is 12, it's a little easier. I hate to say it Missy, but sometimes medications are the lesser of the two evils. I have had six operations and I would rather stay on meds and avoid surgery if the meds could make my pain tolerable and if I wasn't going to risk permanent damage. Pain meds aren't the worst thing in the world. Surgery is permanent and may lead to more problems. Hopefully your Neurologist will have some answers for you. -- --- missy73256 <missy73256@...> wrote: > I am a 35 year old woman with 5 children and have > DDD of my cervical > spine with a c4 herniation, I suffer with pain > constantly and now > having problems with left sided weakness but all my > test come out ok. > Scheduled to see a neurologist. Guest guest
There must be a reason why your doc says you aren't a candidate for surgery. --- --- lncvoss <lncvoss@...> wrote: > I feel your pain dear. Guest guest
Hello, I received the results of the Hair Elements test from DDI for my 14 month old son and, according to Andy Cutler's counting rules, he has impaired mineral transport. As I am certain that most of you know, the only known cause of impaired mineral transport is Mercury toxicity. What do I do now? He's only 14 months, so chelation makes me quite nervous. Are there any steps I need to take before chelating if this is our only option? What did you do when your childs test came back and suggested mercury toxicity? Thanks!!! Guest guest
I thought the same thing so I tested the HCG with a preg test and it came back positive. I am taking 200 through injections. Yes my HCG is refrigerated. I also thought I did a good job loading. I am really stumped and disappointed. I have the focus to do the diet but I can't focus when my body is demanding food. I did this diet in Feb thru a clinic but did not experience this type of hunger. > > It sounds like something is wrong. Sunday I experienced hunger that was beyond normal hunger and felt as thought I was literally punishing myself. I spent Saturday hungry as well but focused on the pounds I was losing and made it through the day. Well I gave in Sunday and ate. I resumed the diet again Monday and found myself today extremely hungry and of course ate. > What do I do now? How do I start over? Should I wait a week or so? I just don't think I should be this hungry. I know the difference between mental and physical hunger. Trust me this is physical. I am bent over with stomach pains and growls. I tried water, extra protein, extra veggies but I am hungry every day. To top it off I was taking an appetite suppressant. >
Guest guest
its very possibe that your dose is too high. Too much HCG in the system mimicks not enough - you experience a lot of hunger and often don't loose weight. If I were you, I'd lower your dose to 175 or 150 for 3 days and see how your body reacts. If 200 is too high, the lower dose should eliminate your hunger. Remember that HCG has a 3 day lag-time, so it'll take a bit for you to notice a change after trying a new dose. If you did the same diet in Feb, you were probably at a different dose, or, you were at the same dose but now your body, having less weight to loose than in Feb, can't take that much HCG now. Let us know if you figure this out - you shouldn't have to suffer from extreme hunger while on this diet! From: BytesU2 <bytesu2@...> Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2009 5:43:05 PMSubject: Re: What do I do now?
