I had to change insurance carriers and it has been a long stressful ordeal. I now have my line in place and am getting the IV treatments i need. My LLD is in the same state but is 21/2 hours away so it makes it hard to coordinate everything. You may need to change either PCPs or Insurance provider to get anything done. Guest guest
Hi, You sure do have some problems. First off, where do you live? Not your exact address, just the general area, maybe we can help you find a good doctor. What kind of insurance do you have? Have you applied for SSDI? If not do so as soon as possible, you don't know what the future will bring, and if you are able to go back to work that's great. Your Lyme and Babesia cannot go untreated, I know you said you have had multiple treatments over the years, what kinds of meds were you on? If your local LLMD is not able to help co-manage your care, maybe he can recommend another doctor who can, if not, try to get your primary doctor to treat you using Burrascano's protocol. I have not had to go out of state for a consult, I hope someone on this list has had the experience and can give you some more information. I know many doctors recommended by the Lyme Disease Foundation are willing to work on a consultation basis, if all else fails try calling them. I do understand your frustration and concern about wasting time and getting sicker, please keep us posted on your progress, and don't despair, there are plenty of resources and we will be happy to help you find them. Best to you, Marta - >From: hapsquilt@... > >I have hit a brick wall and need some advice. Guest guest
i feel for you. my experience has been that drs. have way too many patients and just can't make time for YOU. i'd either harrass twice a day or switch. i have been much too " dainty " in the past and now am " super woman " . only you can look out for your health. the only problem w/switching is that once again you have to wait, EVEN LONGER for an appointm. but may be worth it if your dr. is not lyme literate. i am having to drive 4 -5 hours to go to a LLMD. none in the state of VA as far as i know. i did do rocephin or 10 days, but the problem w/not dealing w/a non-LLMD is that they did not recognize a herx. reaction and made me stop treatment ... really has hurt me! i was so bummed out by drs. that i just gave up for about 4 months .. i had to find a dr. as was really in pain. best of luck. your are paying them after all, make them WORK!!!! Guest guest
Sherry; For one, if you don't have it, you'll want clear clean water. Preferably filtered of chlorine and other unneeded chemicals. If you want it more comfortable let the water set to room temperature or heat it to around 100 degrees of what feels comfortable to your arm. That's all you'll need to get started. DaleDa_@... Guest guest
Sherry, I wish you luck on your first colonic. Make sure you put the bucket higher then the board. I use a step ladder. My bathroom is small so I put the ladder in the tub, fill the bucket with lukewarm water and whatever herbs, lemon, coffee, whatever you have chosen. Then you need to put a chair for the other end of the board. One end goes over the toilet bowl, the other end goes over the chair. Making sure the chair end is slightly higher then the toilet end, so everything flows downward. You may want a pillow. Bring in the bathroom with you a bowl for bleach and water. You will want to sterilize the bathroom and equipment when you finish. You will have to prime the tube to get the water flowing. I use a small enema bulb, and squeeze water into one end of the tube, make sure you get a good flow. Then, like an enema bag, shut the flow off. Get on you board and get comfortable, you can figure the rest. Massage your belly the whole time, this really help. Use a tennis ball and roll over your tummy. Everytime you feel full, stop the flow and release yourself. One more thing I would like to mention is, I do not get good results on the board alone. It takes the cleaning herbs and the board, for me to see result. Maybe you will do better. Best wishes, Bernadette What do I do now? > > Hi everyone, > Did I miss something? Guest guest
Pur water is just fine! What you add after that is your choice. The various added ingredients serve special purposes. Coffee helps to get the liver stimulated and hopefully you'll get to experience a liver dump. The feeling is much the same as you may get with diarrhea, with a gurgling feeling in the area of the liver just before the on-rush. It is a little different from the normal peristaltic action and urge to relieve. There are varied thoughts on as to whether it is necessary to stop the flow of water in, when having a peristaltic action, expelling. Try both ways and determine for yourself how you prefer to use this tool. One of the main things to do is 'relax' and let it happen. However, once you've obtained the full filling cleanse to the ascending colon, and start to get out some really old matter that's been sitting there for sometime, you may wish you had a better ventilation system, especially if it has that dead animal odor. This is where colonics has the colema beat, it's a closed system so there's very little odor, but the colema board has enemas beat by it's ease, and production being much greater with much less work. The main thing is, once that is cleaned, there is much less tendency to have that again, and especially when the diet is high in fiber and has less fatty meats. Every way of colon cleansing has its drawbacks and benefits. Using just herbs and foods can take an enormous amount of time to get the bowl back in condition but can provide the bulk that is needed along with nutrition, which may have limited absorption because of the bowels being dirty. Where enemas, colemas, or colonics can help clear out a lot of old matter in a fairly short length of time. One thing to keep in mind is that when doing any of the water cleansing methods have some electrolytes available to replenish your body, and along with that a good chelated mineral supplement too. Once you start to get the liver to do what are known as liver dumps you'll notice the feeling of having run a marathon after it really starts to respond. Something you might want to try to help the liver respond quickly is to take about 3 to 4 ounces of an EFA a couple of hours before you do the cleanse. This can help to act as a liver and gallbladder cleanse without going through all the other processes of drinking a larger a potion of olive oil and juice blended, and purging the system using Epsom salts. A high quality cold pressed olive oil does very nicely, but most any other will do too. If you do have unknown stones you will be able to see in the existing passes as to whether there is any, or it may show the next morning. This is what one style may look like. DaleDa_@... Guest guest
Bernadette, thanks for the information. The board I ordered comes with a bucket with a tap built in. You said coffee, lemon, ect. How much do you put in the water and what is the lemon about? We are taking a blend of herbs now to help loosen and get things flowing better. Guest guest
Dale, Thanks again for your help. I went to the store today and bought "Colon Cleanse" from Health Plus Inc. It is a 100% pure psyllium husk. I thought we should start by taking that (what do you think?). Also, I bought Sonne's #7. It was the only Bentonite product I could find. My question with that is, it says you can take it internally. Do we just take it internally, or do we add it to the water? If so, how much? (Sorry so full of questions). Sherry What do I do now? Guest guest
You steep the coffee as you would any other time and just add it to your mix. Usually it's added at full strength and done as an enema rather than through the colema bucket. What my colonist does is, he has a tee fitting that he can shut off the water's flow and open for another line. To that line he can, from an other flask that has an outlet connection, add the mixture. I hold it for about five to ten minutes, if possible, and then the regular water is started and the valve is opened to allow for any expulsion that may need to happen. DaleDa_@... What do I do now? I've missed so much school, im in 8th grade 13 years old. the igx only positive for 2 bands, 41 and 30 something. the Dr, LLMD, wishes to treat but NOT diagnose me for Lyme because it is NOT positive enough. The PCP wants a diagnosis befoere she works with us, and the school's being difficult too! I might be treated with Biaxin, if thats how you spell it, and I am taking a whole bunch of herbs, diets, and exercise programs.... i completely understand what you are going through. i did NOT get the bullseye, just all of these crumby symptoms. and I have seen over 8 DR.s and over 7 therapists of different sorts. Its been a year, and i am only a teen, ready to give up but fighting to hold it together! All the tests i can't even count but i understand, and i wished for 8 months that someone would contact me that understood, so i thought you'd like to hear, even though i didn't answer and ?s! Guest guest
okay, heres the message i typed.... it is really long but I revived it!!!  Message: I absolutely positively LOVE horses. I loved them since i was a baby, my first word was horse! i tried not to get too much into that dream since it was expensive and dangerous. When I became ill for a long time, i think about 3 or 4 months, I kept being told to excercise and get moving. Horses completely left my mind when I was consumed in October 07 with a massive 24/7 headache, foloweing the flu like virus. i was playing soccer an was very content. Secretary of the student counsil, etc. etc.!  Then I had the 'virus' and 'sinus infection', treated with antibiotics, then sick with the CONSTANT head pain! it killed me basically. I was disconnected from all activities, lost EVEY friend i had in school, and got really frustrated when all my traditional PCP would do was put me on antidepressants. We went to see a nuerologist, and changed PCP's....  It didn't help. Here I am a year later, with the same headache which i have NEVER had even 1 minute of relief from, and i have seen about 9 Dr.s and over 6 therapists. So many tests became my after school activities. I finally managed 1/2 days of school, and was swallowed in non-stop work. We thought once school came out in summer, that maybe i'd feel more relaxed and better, well I got worse. i tried to participate in Family activities like soulfest at Gunstock,NH and going to RYe beach. i only felt worse and worse. I got more sound sensitive, and way more tired. bad headache, joint pains, muslce aches, minoir light sensitivity, etc. etc., you know the list! It wasn't until July, late in the month, when my mom and all her resaerch pointed to Lymes disease. We had never heard of it. Ic an still rememebr the day when i said what is Lyme anyway? As she rambled off the symptoms and such. She explained it to her best and it was so bazaar! How can a tick kill you? I asked in disbelief!!  Now I look back and think of how so many others feel that way. i WILL make a difference in the communities of america. I am going to let them know, teach them to the best i can, as soon as I am well!  anyway, 5 months into the illness, my new PCP gave us a brochure on Hippotherapy, wh8ich she got from another patient. We had no clue what it was, but the Dr said something about horses. my child hood passion came racing back into my mind and I researched it right when i got home. There was a place 45 mintues south of us in NH That did this hippotherapy with really ill chldren..... was it a possibility we questioned...  We left messages and talked to the manager Toby Freeman. She couldn't necessarily help with the headaches but she may get me moving, and fulfill the reality that there was still something to live for. When your sick like me an so many others, you start to get depressed and upset and all, and she was sure that this would keep me realistic and hopeful if anything. We couldn't afford the price though and told her we may have to go somewhere else. " no, no " she said. " i'll look into it! "  a week later while i was at school for the morning, she called back and told us we could do 25$ 30 mintue session every other saturday. That would work!! i had pestered my mom about it for weeks and told her I HAD to do it. i told her it was my purpose, what i was ill for. She was so pleased to surprise me with that much that night when we were out to eat!!  I have been going there since february, now it's every Saturday, and it is not a therapy session although we say so. it is an independent lesson in which i have progressed imensly!!  I love it, i think about it when im sad, and i go when im down..... I can completely be taken away with the horses, and i don't feel as much pain for the first time in 365 days!!  The manager/speech pathologist (not owner of the barn) actually let me stay at her house this summer so i could go 2 days in a row since transpotation is limited! it was great, and now i volunteer when im there too, so it's an all day thing now! i have seen so many kids improve drastically! its great!  so as you have read for the past 15 mintues! lol! I DO love horses, and i do live in NH <3Elaina From: Elaina <nhgirlloveshorses@...> Subject: Re: [ ] what do I do now? Guest guest
As an avid horse lover I enjoyed yoru story, riding was my saving grace as well when I was sick. Even though I could not do much and certainly lost the ability to train, the horses needed me! Guest guest
Hippotherapy manipulates the motion of the horses rythm so that a child with a disability can get improvement from it. it is used mostly for other more debilitating illnesses like autism and cyctic fibrosis. The thing about it is, it is very different than therapuetic riding. Some claim they do hippotherapy, when all they do is therapeutic riding which is more recreational then medical even though it has medical connections. Hippo has medical proffesionals that help sidewalk and lead the child. Ones that mix games and toys into the therapy. OT, ST, and PT are all used in hippo, and sometimes, rarely, psychiatric therapy as well. i can't explain the differences as well as Horse talks site can! That is the name of the place I go but you can use it strictly for the info on there, that would be nice.  www.nhhorsetalk.com  I go to hippo every week, once, and I have seen such an imprvement. I will be a hippotherapist when i am older. Until them I donate my every strand of energy to volunteering at their great facilities! They actually board and rent at somebody elses place, but it's beautiful! hopefully I told you something! CHeck out the site. You can see some of the horses too, that are HIGHLY trained so that they are unspookable and very pleasurable. They care about the kids and have great people around them to. each horse has a different 'motion' that can help children in different ways, which is why they are assigned different to patients. it is all about what will help the child the most, and once, a child spoke their first words at the hippo! it was cool!  TTYL, hope I helped!
