They are already not selling the 25 mg capsules through VRP. I don't think this is a hoax, but we'll see. Did you also see the article where the FDA has now classified some form of B6 as a DRUG?? Even though some here poo poo the Codex, and it's existence....this is effectually what is happening. Whether its law or not. Big Pharma does not like the fact that dmsa is recovering children, so this is their way of stopping that progress. They did this with 5HTP a long time back. Saying it could not be sold as a supplement. It's all madness and profit driven. After all how can they make money from Big Pharma contributions if we don't need their prescriptions drugs? Therefore, it's profitable to them to shut down any non prescription sources of dmsa. Either way, I'm not taking any chances on this. I checked the Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada and Canadian Institues of Health Research and there is nothing about DMSA on those sites. They have to report these things and so far they haven't. I spoke to one of the customer service reps today. And yes, they are being swamped with orders. They were notified by the FDA Friday and sent the e-mails to notify their customers as soon as possible. Guest guest Posted February 14, 2009 Report Share Posted February 14, 2009 Just an update I have spoken with two other vendors of dmsa and the FDA is stopping the sale of it by shutting down the source..vrp. The one doctor I talked to said he was told it was because so many patients were being told by their doctors to order it online because it's cheaper than getting Chemet from the pharmacy. Of course, this was creating a loss of profits from Big Pharma. They must have used their usual financial influences to go after anyone selling dmsa. So yes, very shortly we will not be able to get this in the US. The one company told me they beleive they will be out of stock by the end of the weekend.(Vivagen) The other may still have some(Dr. Cinque). VRP is being swamped with orders...I'm sure they will be out soon too. Anyway...Those who can get scripts should. I plan to look at other sources and at some point we can compile a list of doctors who do dmsa by state. If you are looking for DMSA from spectrumsupplements.com (USA) I suggest that you email the customer service directly. They often have many products that are not shown. I do know that they will be doing a last time buy from New Beginnings so I am assuming it will be a large one as they understand the demand that will be out there. I would add it to my list but just email customer service. Expensive but very reliable and great customer service.
