Guest guest
hi everyone, kind of an introduction, since I haven't been visiting my old groups in a while, not since my niece and nephew were diagnosed with autism and I went down the whole healing path with my SIL. The out-of town conferences, autism-one, DAN... Now I have to search hard for answers/ways to help my kids. My son who is 8 in April was diagnosed by the school's evaluation team as having SLD. Well, I've been tutoring him and his reading is almost at grade level. I don't think I can question that he has dyslexia, because he dad seems to have it! He has signs of APD is processing what is said..not hearing parts of conversation..saying I didn't say something- when I did a second ago- he says I said something else! He can only follow one task at a time in the home..I cannot verbalize a long list..and other things... I know this not a dyslexia board,I am part of that one, but there is NO biomedical talk there!I really believe in biomedical interventions for children, along with therapies if need be. I think my son has APD, but maybe so slight it will not be detected by audiologist/APD. I am still torn on seeing that doc, since we have to do things out of pocket (we don't vax and will not see normal peds thru insurance), usless life or death situation..kwim So, now to my question..well I have had 1000 of them in the last three months..but wondering IF we should chelate again. I see an ART- who trains with Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt..and he is not giving my son much in chelators..when he did- it was briefly a homeopathic booster for lead I think. I love him and can maybe push for more... Can dyslexia/APD be helped with chelating or other means? A little background-my son, not on the spectrum (is dyslexia on the spectrum? everyone on my other board and books says it is a right-brained thinking and they are born that way!), well wasn't on the spectrum when we saw Dr. Neubrander for a while a few years back. I just wanted to have a healthy kid, and I before I knew any better -had rhogram shots and vaxed my son with half a dozen before I said -hold it! My son chelated with td-dmps, B12 shots..vits vits more vits. oraganic, gf/cf..he was blood tested IgG with 20 food sensitivities..wow..elimination diet..you are all familiar with this, right? The ART doc finds about 6 foods my son should eliminate from his diet. Any suggestions? Am I to believe dyslexia is hereditary and not to be " cured " (I am looking for more like helping it)? am I just listening to main-stream junk? Was I on the right side of the fence and then fell back to the wrong side? Is dyslexia environmental? Does he just have APD? thank you so much for listening to my story and advising. Open to anything. (I will talk about my 1.5yr old next week! he isn't talking!)
Guest guest
Consider DDI hair elements test with counting rules applied for both kids. Then you'll have a better idea what you're dealing with. Guest guest
> Can dyslexia/APD be helped with chelating or other means? Biomedical helped those issues at my house. First, I think I would give a probiotic or biotin, to address yeast issues. And I know one dyslexic adult whose dyslexia vanished when she removed certain foods from her diet, so you can also try that and/or use digestive enzymes. > A little background-my son, not on the spectrum (is dyslexia on the > spectrum? Guest guest
- thank you. Will see if my doc does that or will find one. I've read plenty about NAET yrs ago and even have a local name of person to go to. Sometimes when so flustered we need a reminder as to what therapy/treatment! Thanks! Guest guest
Andy's book Amalgam Illness says that dyslexia is from mercury poisoning. My son also had the APD part which is resolving with chelation. So yes, both conditions can be helped using Andy's chelation protocol. I am a bit skeptical that one can remove all the metals needed to recovery from these conditions via homeopathy only. It depends. I would do a hair test to see what metals he has and if he meets counting rules. If's reasonably priced sand will help you decide what to do next. I do note that as I got more mercury toxic through my 20-30's I began to transpose letters all the time, have trouble recalling or understanding what someone said, I got ADD symptoms, I had auditory processing problems and visual problems. I don't now, since I removed my fillings and did some chelation. I do not for one minute beleive that children are born to see things backwards. If that were the case, dyslexia would have existed for hundreds of years. I didn't believe my son was born with sensory processing disorder or that he was born to spin around and have autistic behaviors. Despite being told so by a few doctors. If my child were completely not toxic, then maybe, but the fact was his hair showed he was full of heavy metals. Those do cause all these developmental problems in kids. So no I don't think your son was born like this. I think he got like this via vaccines. Since he had some vaccines and you had rogham..he's probably got mercury. You mentioned some chelation with td-dmps. But how long, what dosing, how often was it given? All of these things are important factors in whether or not it helps. dmps should have been used every 8 hours for three days on and four or more off. And it takes many, many rounds to free them of all the mercury. Not a few months. Not all kids become autistic from vaccines but they all do undergo changes to their brains and nervous systems as a result of the chemicals, viruses and heavy metals in vaccines. Your on the right track with the diet and vitamins. Consider the hair test. You can order and Essential Hair Elements Anaylsis from www.directlabs.com. Tell them your a member of this board to get a discount. And welcome! I think your in the right place to help your son. > > hi everyone, kind of an introduction, since I haven't been visiting my > old groups in a while, not since my niece and nephew were diagnosed > with autism and I went down the whole healing path with my SIL. Guest guest
Many of us here can interpret the hair results. It's best if you can upload it as a pdf file or picture file. > > Oh my...doctor's data? We did one when he was 4. I didn't even think of this!
