Would cleaning of teeth cause release of Mercury?

Hi,

As I tried to understand how possibly could my second child got high

mercury in his body and now showing signs of ASD, I remember I went

for teeth cleaning during pregnancy. Just cleaning and nothing else (I

have a few amalgam fillings).

Would cleaning of teeth cause a release of mercury from the amalgam?
