We usually feed our kids hot meals in the morning. We give them

chicken, vegetables or rice. We really do not do breakfast style foods

and find that our kids do better throughout the day with protein in the

morning and more carb like foods at night. They seem to eat better this

way.

PS Its easy too, to eat this way. We just put a chicken in the stock

pot at night with some vegetables and its ready by morning. Smells good

too with lots of herbs and garlic. Kid always wake up hungry and ready

to eat. I might have read somewhere that it is better to eat this way.

We have always just eaten like this. I lived in Japan and it wasn't

unusual to eat like this. We are also very busy at night with kids in

hockey and music lessons that waking up to a meal together is a nice way

to start the day.
