Ha! But, hey, that's just my Fox Mulder side coming out. I guess your concern is a normal, mainstream one. I am in the process right now of reviewing all of the tapes from the NVIC conference in the fall because my group, Familes for Natural Living, is sponsoring a vaccine awareness here in Virginia on Nov. 16 (we have board members who are docs who are presenting). I am compiling a list of highlights of what each person who spoke said to go into a packet we are giving parents - with all other kinds of info in it. I challenge you, if you are serious about your concerns over infectious diseases, to listen to these tapes for your self and take copious notes. Yes, infectious diseases are real, and yes, they can be deadly. But, as Dr. Bart Classen stated at the conference, we now have a kill ratio of three to one for every child vaccinated. For every one child that recieves a benefit from a vaccine, three will develop diabetes, which is a fatal disease. Classen states that, according to the data he has gathered from public, international diabetes registries, 79 % of all type I insulin dependent diabetes in children under the age of 10 were vaccine-induced. These are not numbers that he generated, just compiled and reported. Further more, these numbers are reproducible in animal models - he can cause diabetes in mice by vaccinating them. Classen has also repeatedly predicted rises and falls in these diabetes clusters (occuring three to four years after the vaccination) in different countries BEFORE they happen according to increases in their mandatory vaccine programs. And this is just ONE autoimmune disease. Classen also states that it doesn' t matter what kind of vaccine it is, it has the same effect because all vaccines are meant to stimulate the immune system and in some kids that means over stimulation - hence autoimmune disorders like diabetes. Diabetes has tripled in American kids in the last twenty years and the average age of onset has fallen from 12 years old to 5 years old. This information is just ONE of the presentations out of 28 that were made at the conference. It has taken me weeks to recuperate from all of the information I learned at this three day conference. It is just horrifying. I feel like I identify with and can understand the reactions people had to learning of the death camps and systematic elimination of the Jews by the Nazies in the last century. It seems too horrible to be true, but once you do know the truth the weight of responsibility comes with it: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? Remember the quote (somebody help me here with his name) of the person who said he sat by and watched the Nazis come take the Jews, then the Polish, one after another, until when it was his turn, there was nobody left to speak up for him. www.FamilesForNaturalLiving.org " Making Conscious, Compassionate, and Informed Choices for Our Children "

You need to really figure out the risk/benefit ratio and where your children fit in. If annual deaths from ALL the VPD's together (approx 7,000) are 9 times less than diabetes alone, seems to me that vaccines at this point in time do not outweigh the benefits, for my family. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
, Thank you for your comments. I agree with you that the question is what we are going to do about it. If we only worry about ourselves, nothing will change. And , a few points about your concerns about disease. Polio is highly contagious, but hardly anyone gets a serious case of it. Why is that? To me, that is the important question. Most, if not all, of these diseases had declined significantly prior to vaccine both re: incidence and severity. To me, the more important issue is severity, particularly given that there may be some benefits to the immune system to getting them. As long as you have a healthy immune system, you are likely to experience no longterm consequences of these diseases. So the question becomes how you. But the proof is in the pudding - and in fact, as I mentioned, as nations have improved socioeconomically the risks from the diseases have declined. Polio was a different story - but as I mentioned in another email, recent tonsillectomy and injections might have played a role, two interventions more likely to occur the more developed the nation. Amone the many problems with vaccinations I have been told (I intend to research this myself) is the notion that the thymus, which is involved in the immune system, gets incredibly overloaded with vaccines, but not with the diseases themselves. So that there isn't much left over after vaccination to deal with normal exposure and challenge. So parents need the right to choose for their own children whether the disease is more of a risk, or the vaccine. For instance, a child born to a Hepatitis B positive mother might be better off getting the vaccine, since infants who get Hep B have a very high (95%) chance of it being chronic and possibly leading to serious consequenes. An infant not born to a mother with the disease has no risk, so it should take no risk from vaccination. Given how serious and widespread the reactions have been to the vaccination, it may even be that infants of Hep B positive mothers shouldn't even get it. None of us know, however, what is best for another child. We need good information, not information tainted by industry's interests, in order to make the most informed decisions for our children. We need to support the right of parents to make this important decision for their children. We need to be respectful of all, especially because each situation is unique. That's my one cent worth. Guest guest
I had the same problem with my son (grandson), when he was little. I figured his little body was missing something so he wasn't able to fight off germs as easily as he should have. He had been on antibiotics a great deal as an infant (due to natural parents), so I started giving him acidophilus. I also started giving him trace minerals each morning and bought Hansen's immune juice. He hasn't had a cold in a long time and I can finally take him out around other people without him getting sick. Guest guest
First, remember allergies play a part as well. Especially with no fever present. Second, do not take offense at this, but if you are the kind of mother, or father, who over worries about dissinfecting everything in your house and sterilizes too much, your child has not had a chance to exercise his immune system and will be more suseptable to catching colds, having allergies, etc.. It's one thing to be sure and have clean house and dishes and all, but another to go to the extent of over-doing it. Third, it is not necessarily a bad thing for him to have colds sometimes. Again, the immune system must be exercised like any muscle of the body. Fourth, if you truly understand the risks of vaccination, you should never doubt. I know being a parent, especially a young first time mom, can be scary. But life goes on and getting sick is a natural part of life and an important part of immune development. Vaccines are not. Guest guest
Hi , I'm not on treatment, by my own choice at this time. The reason I decided not to take treatment is because I contracted it from a blood transfusion over 40 years ago, my viral count is low and I showed no liver inflammation or damage on my biopsy. Not only that, I am genotype 1B, and genotypes 1 do not respond well to the treatment. I have no symptoms except occasional fatigue, so I saw no reason to expose myself to the potential side effects of treatment. I tend to have reactions to medications in general, so the probability of having them is pretty strong. A NIH study I read last fall said that someone like me may never have the disease progress. That being said, if I was a genotype other than 1, I would hop on the treatment in a New York minute. You were given the right information, your genotype is responsive to the treatment. You're young, you have young children and are in good health right now. The odds are in your favor to have a good outcome and stay healthy, and it sounds like you don't have to be on the meds for a long time. My doctor wanted me on them for 18 months, something I've never heard of anywhere else. Good luck on your treatment, I'm sure it will be successful! Marilyn question.. Hello everyone, I am a little confused... I have been hearing some say that they arn't on treatment yet?? Or it is not time for treatment. I was under the impression that treatment was a must... I thought of it as I am going to get sick either way, so I midas well try.. The reason I am asking is because well, here is a short verson of my story. Guest guest
Your husband is WRONG to call you stupid. But...I would not do treatment without a liver biopsy. Only a liver biopsy can show you if you have liver disease. A sonogram won't show fibrosis. With your Genotype you do have a good chance of erradicating the virus though. Yes, the treatment makes you much sicker than the actual disease does for the most part. But then it is chemotherapy and if you had Cancer, he would expect you to do the treatments even if you felt good, right? You may want to point it out to him that way. If you do the treatment, and it gets rid of the virus for you, then you have done the right thing. Without the HCV virus in you, it won't harm your liver! Sounds to me like he just needs to be educated a little bit about it. Ask your Dr why a biopsy was not done prior to treatment, as that is the protocol for treating. Also, viral load has nothing to do with the amount of liver damage you may or may not have. It's just a number and tends to fluctuate wildly on it's own! Hope this helps. Guest guest
Is your husband infected with HCV as well? He doesn't necessarily have the same genotype. Just because you both have it, doesn't mean one of you gave it to the other. A 7 yr old biopsy is too old. You could have progressed alot or not at all in that time. I would call and ask the Dr to do one before continuing on the treatment. LeighAnn
