Dear Forum Members,

DISHA, a HIV intervention program among Female, male and transgender sex workers

in Mysore and Mandya districts requires a M & E Officer. This program is

supported by Avahan through the University of Manitoba. The incumbent will be

stationed in Mysore and will travel to Mandya and the talukas from time to time

based on work requirements.

The M & E Officer will report to the core team of DISHA and will have the

following role:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the information needs assessment, planning, development, regular

review and updating of the MIS on a regular basis and submit it.

2. Provide technical support during various research that are being undertaken

3. Prepare the analytical report based on the M & E data and discuss with the team

and community of sex workers.

4. Identify challenges in implementation of CMIS and provide feasible solutions.

5. Develop MIS at district and sub-district level as well as develop indicators

to understand the on-going changes in the program.

6. Identify and train community members on M & E system, data analysis and

interpretation.

Qualification:

Applicants should possess Masters Degree in Statistics or Demography or Public

Health, Computer Applications, Social work or equivalent and will be well versed

either in SPSS or STATA or EPI Info.

Attributes:

(1) Self-motivated, go-getter and eager to excel.

(2) Ability to manage computing demands and deadlines.

(3) Good verbal and written communication skills both in English and Kannada.

(4) Willingness to travel.

(5) Experience in statistical computer packages is a must.

(6) Person with good knowledge of Avahan CMIS requirements will be preferred.

Desired Work Experience:

5 years experience in HIV intervention programs with at least 3 years in M & E.
