Guest guest
I give my 4yo Tropical Oasis calcium/magnesium/D liquid in orange flavor. This and Yummi Bears kind are the only ones that he will take. The liquid needs to be refrigerated otherwise it has a chalky aftertaste, and my son won't take it (we literally tried about 20 brands). Sometimes I use an adult form of cal/mag/D and sprinkle out the powder into other powders that he takes. Calcium citrate or chelated form is best absorbed. Avoid carbonate - I read that it can be constipating. HTH! Guest guest
Vital Nutrients probably has the least lead content and may be worth considering if dosing regularly. Guest guest
Does calcium have lead? My boys are off the charts in lead. Guest guest
Calcium and lead are both elements of the approx 100 that make up all matter. Calcium is also a metal in elemental form but bound with other elements it is a vital, essential element in all living tissues. Mercury is also a metal, but of higher weight and with far different properties. It is NOT an essential or desirable material free or bound, but a toxin that is deadly to all living tissues... its toxic properties are largely due to the fact that it interferes with the role of calcium and other metal ions that are required in complex metabolic functions. It pusheds calcium off its post and sticks in its place, but jams up the works. > > Vital Nutrients probably has the least lead content and may be worth > considering if dosing regularly. > Kenny >> And how much should I give a 34 pound child? >> >> Dana >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >>
