Guest guest
Hi, I've had ds off all supps etc since xmas. 3 days ago, he began putting his fingers in his mouth and sucking/licking them, so much so that his fingers end up 'shrivelled', like when you've been in the bath for too long. I started giving him his zinc again(picolinate) yesterday and this behaviour has completely disappeared. I can't remember how much zinc he should be getting though...he is 18kg(I'm in Aus') and he's been getting in the past, a 30mg zinc picolinate capsule spread throughout the day. Pretty sure that it's 1mg per lb? + 20mg...right? Donna. ps...anyone out there who can tell me, send me info on WHY oral behaviour begins with zinc deficiency and WHY zinc deficiency can occur in the first place? Guest guest
The deficiency of Zinc, as well as other nutrients could be caused by Mercury intoxication, as explained in Andy Cutler's book " Amalgam Illness " . That is why our kids feel and behave better with larger than normal doses of nutrient supplements.
