Guest guest
Thanks, ! I really appreciate that the advice and the encouragement. The 4am dose went much better and the 8am even better since one boy was already awake and I just woke up the other one. 12 noon went fine. The day time ones will not be a challenge. It is just difficult when I go in there and they just swat at the syringe like it is a bug or something and that maybe what they are thinking. My boys are almost 5. So, our boys are close in age. What other groups are you in? How is your son doing? Thanks, again. Dana From: emraaka <emraaka@...> Subject: [ ] Re: First ever night time dose a challenge!! Worried about 4am dose! Help! Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 1:05 PM Hi Dana, Those nighttime doses are rough, but they will get easier. Applesauce and/or less water in the syringe are both good ideas. We went from water in the syringe to now doing a capsule and my son now swallows it right down. He sometimes still will wake up or get grouchy about it on occasion, so I have found that it helps to tell him what I am doing in a gentle, sleepy voice - he will sit up, swallow it and conk right back out. I just wanted to tell you also that I see you on these boards (we are on many of the same ones) and I think you are a wonderful mom. All my best, (mom to Carson, ASD and newly 5)
