Guest guest
Robyn, I have a copy of a yeast protocol by a specialist here, and he advises against anything with vinegar because it is aged, and can contain and therefore aggravate yeast infections. You'd be surprised the foods we should stay away from, all of the obvious ones, but some not so obvious ones too. I'll see if I can post it to the files section., Jim
Guest guest
Yeast is naturally occuring in the gut. Good bacteria in the gut balances the yeast. Sometimes good bacteria is killed, like during oral dosing of an anti-bacterial prescription drug. The absence of good bacteria presents an opportunity for yeast to over grow. From: Pamela <praboli@...> Subject: [ ] Yeast question Date: Sunday, September 21, 2008, 3:37 PM What actually causes gut yeast? Is it the metals? I know the body is not working correctly to have this problem, but was just curious if it was viruses, bacteria, metals??? Thanks, Pam

At my house, yeast overgrowth was caused by metal toxicity, latent viruses, and biotin deficiency. After correcting those problems, no more yeast overgrowth here. Guest guest
For the last few days I have noticed my ds3 (NT) is yeasty. (Red ring around anus, excessive sillies, sugar seeking...) So I have been quietly ridding the house of the remaining holiday treats, pushing harder to get him to take the chewable probiotics and sneaking 2-3 drops of GSE a day into his lemonade. Tonight he had 2 urgent, unusual BMs. Mushy, yellow color, tons of mucus. Is this a sign that my efforts are working, or that I need to increase them? I am used to treating his older, toxic brother who has had chronic candida since he was a few days old. I know his signs and symptoms, and trust my instincts with upping/lowering yeast protocol. This kiddo has NEVER had yeast before, but I've seen the damage it has caused his brother, and I'm concerned. advise please... Beth
Guest guest
Well my naturopathic doctor recommended oil of oregano for yeast. It seems to be working for now. The other thing is that long time yeast overgrowth causes leaky gut so then you would need to treat that as well (i.e. with l-glutamine, licorice, and glucosoamine) From: Beth <puzabeth@...> Subject: [ ] yeast question Received: Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 10:44 PM For the last few days I have noticed my ds3 (NT) is yeasty. Guest guest
Natallia, As soon as ds starts his oral stimming and giggling/laughter for no reason, it coincides with bulky/mucusy stool with black specks..if too much GSE is used, you will find this gets worse, as the GSE clears out the yeast..Ive always taken it as a sign that the GSE is working, but dont go overboard with the GSE as it loosens stool somewhat..Also, 'Antipath' from Mike Sichel works good, and also a little ACV(1ts)... He's had that behavior before we started biotin and GSE. We were hoping to get rid of some of these things with yeast protocol. But now what worries me is his stool that is loose and the specs in it. I was just wondering what should I expect during yeast treatment and what things I should watch out for. Thanks again.
