Guest guest
My son will be turning 4 year old next month. We started chelation on AC protocol from April 2008. Initially we were doing both DMSA and ALA. Later per the hair element test results, Andy Cutler suggest to focus on the Copper treatment - since my son had high copper level. My son does not meet the counting rule - per the hair element test results. But since no Mercury showed up in the result and he had elevated Aluminum, Antimony, and Tin, this suggests that he is holding on to the mercury and mercury is also causing these other heavy metal retention. Anyway, for copper, we're giving our son, 75 mg of Zinc every day plus Molybdenum 1500 mcg every day. In addition we're giving Taurine and PhosphatidylCholine. Since we started Copper treatment, we started doing chelation every other week, before we were doing it every weekend. Also we have dropped ALA, since it hinders the copper excretion. Now my concern here is; we're not seeing any gains. He is pretty much the same child. When yeast is in control he is easy going but when the yeast becomes a beast we see unwanted giggles, running around and shouting. We treat yeast with GSE, Biotin, and Probiotics. I am pretty sure and the hair test also suggested that my son is mercury and copper toxic, so that means, I'm on the right track. But how long would we have to wait to see major gains? What's the maximum on this forum that a kid has responded to chelation? What we really like to see in our son is getting some verbal - he is still non-verbal and does not responds to his name and follow directions. If he needs anything, he would take our hand and take us to the thing he wants. That means, he knows what he needs but does not speak out. Sometimes we feel so helpless not seeing any gains at all. But on the other hand, we know that it is mercury and he does fit into the spectrum so, he should respond some day... but when, we don't know. By they way, we also tried the anti-viral treatment plus the high dose vitamin A protocol - that also did not produce any gains. Please advice. We need some encouragement.
