His doctor prescribed Clonodine and its not something I find a lot of information about. Does anyone have a child currently taking this medication? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Jean: My now 9yo took Clonidine in 2001. We found it very helpful for getting to sleep and impulsivity. He had also been on Depakene for impulsivity which we found very helpful as well. The problem wih the depakene was the repeated bloodwork for liver function. Sorry I cannot remember details. Guest guest
we have tried melatonin, 5HTP and clonidine (catapres) (at different times, not together) The clon was by far most effective - only required 1/4 to 1/2 tab (full tab = 0.1mg) dissolved in water about 30 min b4 bed. Otherwise he was up until midnight or later. No discernible side effects. We used as needed, several nights/wk for about 2 yrs during Lyme treatment, not every night. All meds eliminated about 4 yrs ago as he improved - just turned 13 - > > > has anyone used this for sleep and what reactions did you have
